From the looks of it, they just made a new listing rather than updating the existing one.

EDIT: Just thought I'd toss some more info out there.

-The listing says it'll contain two discs.
-The Japanese disc information on CDJapan now says it'll feature over 40 tracks not featured on the 2009 OST releases.

The over 40 tracks thing in conjunction with the 2-disc aspect (meaning the tracks have to be longer if they're going to fill up 2 discs of music) seems to suggest that the Complete component might be music coming during the Buu saga. Maybe there were that many unreleased tracks, but I think most of the music was released between the 3 current OSTs.

Is it horrible of me that, if given the choice between the two, I'd much, much rather have a CD set that completely finishes up releasing the score to the public, than a Kai cut of the Boo saga?
Don't get me wrong; I'd love to have both if possible, but poor BGM don't get 'nuff love.

As for the presence of more than 40 tracks on this upcoming set, I'm pretty surprised myself (since as far as I can tell, there can't be more than 20 to 25 at best that have shown up in the series so far), but then again, composing music for an anime (or anything for that matter) does produce a crap-ton of extra flotsam and jetsam. I mean, Kinto'un---! from OST 2 has never been used in the series - though I used to think it was meant for the Gohan-flying-to-school scenes when we were to reach the early Boo saga - so maybe there's quite a few other tracks Yamamoto composed that have never been used? Or perhaps they're minus tracks of the insert songs?

I think it might be something like this...

There is a Thunderbirds original TV soundtrack, volume 1. A year or so later they released volume 2.

Then as a special anniversary thing they released a Best of Thunderbirds CD which had like 3 new tracks on it. It was also a double CD with on the second CD some audio drama stuff.

Not saying we might get audio drama stuff :p but I think, or rather I fear, that it's going to be a best of compilation of the previous 3 soundtracks with some unreleased backgroundmusic and then probably not even the once that are slight variations on the ones we already had the previous 3 soundtracks.

Orrrrrr.... they ARE going to make the Majin Buu stuff and they decided to pre-release the music to get in cash as fast as possible. Seems a bit... weird, but it might be a possibility?

Or they aren't going to do the Majin Buu arc, but he already made the music (that's... why would they say to Yamamoto "make music for the last part of the series" when they're not sure it's going to be used... that's really weird to me) and they need to cash in on it.

Amazon Japan now has a new entry for DB Kai OST IV with updated information, replacing the already existing one, like CDJapan.

Geez, is it so hard to simply edit the existing entries?

Something's fishy though. It says "Original Soundtrack 集" (meaning "Original Soundtrack Collection"), instead of "Original Soundtrack IV".

I wonder if this means that it, similar to the vocal tracks and the "Complete Song Collection", is nothing more than a rehash of the previous soundtracks. I mean sure, the descriptions on CDJapan's entry as well as Amazon's previous entry say it'll have tracks not found on the other volumes, but...

Well, I guess we won't know for sure until we get a track listing, huh?

Doesn't Goku's hair in that cover art look like his SSJ2 hair? Do you think this is a small hint that Kai will go past the Cell saga? Or do you think it's either just a random image of Goku they thought would look cool on the cover or him in SSJ1 mode, powering up really hard? Probably the latter...
