Re: Topics you are sick of
I don't know if this counts, but people constantly arguing on YouTube about how the Funimation dub kicks the Japanese versions ass. I really hate ignorant fans. People there are actually saying that Funi released the Dragon Boxes here not because people were unsatisfied with their dub or not because we never got a good Japanese release here, but because Funi are such nice guys. Sheesh.
I never get sick of topics here though. Daizex has always been the best place for Dragon Ball discussions since I came here in 2006.

I'm sick of power levels, battle powers, battle ratings, power readings, all that.

I'm actually sick of the Dragon Box vs. Season Sets/Funi Singles arguments.

Re: Topics you are sick of
The only topics that really annoy me are ones that are asking questions that are completely common knowledge. I hate when someone asks "Why did XXX not get revived by Shenron?" When it has been established over and over again that a person cannot get brought back by him twice; even FUNi seemed to understand that.
I also hate when someone makes a topic asking the type of question that they could just google instead, like asking what episode someone first appeared in.

If we are going to have a community, there is bound to be newer members that don't know everything. We have to respect that, and also think about how little we knew when we just became fans. Also, some members don't own the whole series yet to have a complete view. Be a bit humble.Kroni_Hunter wrote:The only topics that really annoy me are ones that are asking questions that are completely common knowledge. Re: Topics you are sick of
I'm not trying to sound intolerant or anything. This thread is about topics that I'm sick of, and that's what I'm sick of. It's not like I'm saying they don't have a right to post things and I don't claim to know close to everything about the series myself.
I think there's a difference between a topic that can lead to interesting discussion and one that treats the forums like Google. It has nothing to do with being humble because I join lots of forums where I am a "newbie" but I still know that certain information is already available without having to start a thread about it.

If anything, out of my sheer honesty, it would be the screenshot comparisons. Screenshots, in my humble opinion, aren't really the best way to compare the products. In my opinion, seeing them in motion is the best way.
(Please remember that this is entirely subjective and that this is my honest and polite opinion).

The dub wars. It's stupid. Some people on here act like no one is entitled to there own opinion of which dub they can like. It's seriously annoying. If you like a certain dub, you like it. So what?

Re: Topics you are sick of
I think the problem is that when you go to a "discussion forum" you're looking to discuss stuff. You kind of feel compelled to do so in each and every topic. After a while you just get tired of the same tired topics. Once you get to the point where you screen topics, you might end up dismissing over half of the topics.
The stems from a combination of new members to the forum and current members thinking they have something to add.

Well, if it was a moving scene, yeah... not the best way. But what about a static scene, like a face close-up?SolarBlade52 wrote:If anything, out of my sheer honesty, it would be the screenshot comparisons. Ontopic, I think the ones I'm tired of seeing are pretty much mentioned already. Sub x dub and Battle Powers.

The only things that really bug me are power level discussions, and when people try to post their own rosters for the video games. Double points if the roster includes things like "Brolly SSJ5" or "Vegetunks".
Dub vs. Sub, too, I guess. But that may only be because I see it here so much.
