Saiyan, it's a perfect adaptation of Saiya-jin for an English audience. I use the "sigh-an"/cyan pronunciation for it. It's more correct than the "accepted" pronunciation and due to fandubs, my DPZ parody videos, perfectionist, plus it being a Japanese term and just saying it in general. I use the Saiyan (Cyan Pronunciation) now.

I use Saiyan with the Funimation dub's pronounciation as it's what I'm used to. Kinda similar as to how I pronounce Ryu from Street Fighter's name as "Ry-yoo". Yeah, I know it's "Ree-yoo" but it's what I've called him since I was 10 and am too used to it to change.

I tend to either say it Saiya-jin or Saiyan, which I strangely tend to pronounce the FUNimation way regardless of the fact that I know it's incorrect). Neither has particular precedence in my mind, although I guess Saiyan is more correct as it is an official Japanese term for international audiences.

But when i'm writing I write Saiyan, because thats more easy.
Same case for me, but I use SSJ as an abbreviation when writing even though that's being inconsistent.

In my head I say "Saiyajin", I normally type "Saiyan", and the abbreviation is of course "SSJ" because it makes the most sense.

I use Saiyan when writing the full word and SSJ when abbrevating Super Saiyajin, because it's more common than SS and that's how I'm used to it. While it's not consistent, it's not incorrect either.

Most people do like yourself, write Saiyan and then SSJ to abbreviate it.

SS reminds me of the Nazi's SS term, one of the reasons I hate to see "DBZ" and "SS" together. Nitpicky I am.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

Here in Denmark, it's rather odd, since they take from both the US dub and the original JP version.

It's called saiyajin, which is from the JP version. But Piccolo's race are called namekians, which I believe is from the US dub.
