You're not alone in that, either. I thought "Super Trunks" and "Super Vegeta" were both Super Saiyan 2. The Cell arc was probably the portion of the storyline I was least familiar with, so naturally, I never noticed the inconsistencies that would create.

I remember much of the Saiyan arc, pretty much all of Namek and Freeza, and all of Boo, but I never seemed to catch the Cell portion on Toonami.

But, on topic, this was probably the video game that got me into video games. I loved it. I played it over and over and over, even though I was terrible at it (being, like 7; I had to turn the difficulty down to "Very Easy" to keep Raditz in the path of Piccolo's Makankosappo and still had a ton of trouble with Freeza), and I and my neighbors played each other and the Tournament mode constantly.

It took us forever to unlock Great Saiyaman.

I think that would have been B2 or B3, they're the ones with Super Saiyan 2 Trunks in it.

I'm certain it was in B2. Not sure about B3 though.

They both definitely have it, in B3 he has the sparks and all in his SS2 form.

Infinite World had SSJ2 Trunks too.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Hmm, don't you guys mean Super Trunks? Or Super Trunks 2? (Or something like that) I don't think it's SSJ2 Trunks, that's completely different and not in the show.. Unless you mean the one from GT? If GT Trunks even went SSJ2.. But he wasn't in B2 so yeah that couldn't have been it, hmm...

That was very helpful EX. So would those capsules actually have been power ups to go Super Trunks and Super Trunks 2?

Btw, I just wanted to say your sites really good, I was impressed upon looking at the rumours page, and found I wanted to read more. Looks like a lot of time and effort was put into this site. No wonder this place is somewhat renowned; you must truly be a real fan :)

I really liked the game but I hated how fast your Ki meter drained when transformed. To make things worse, it would drain even more on every succeeding transformation. Being SSJ Goku or SSJ2 Gohan for longer than 20 seconds was almost impossible.
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.

I loved the first Budokai. I remember it coming out for PS2, but I had Gamecube and I had to wait a year. The choreography in the cutscenes inpressed me the most. It represented the anime very well, and the character animations were way better (than even Ultimate Tenkaichi). It took a great deal of skill to play too. The sequels got easier to play i think, making one button do Ultimate Moves. Burst Limit was a must buy, because it was a new refreshed version of Budokai cutscenes (mixed with Shin Budokai controls), which was great. I wish Dimps would keep going with it.
