My favorite Faulconer piece is easily 'Paikuhan's Theme'. Fantastically superb every second of the way. I can't get enough of it.

Thanks! :) Those were the actually the very first and very last pieces I did for the show! (not counting editing work)
Awesome work, man. Truly amazing technique you showed with the synth basses and synth pads in those two pieces. I especially loved the way you used the choir pads in the middle of the Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb) theme.

Did you also have anything to do with the "Freeza's Death" piece. That also is one of my favorites.

By the way, I still listen to the Z Music album time to time. Love that album! 8)

:) Thanks again. Do note that the Spirit bomb track on the CD is actually two different tracks smushed together. Mine starts at about 4:11

The earlier bits(called by someone long ago "Soul Bomb!") were Mike.

I was the guitar player for "Frieza's Death" but Mike (Smith) was the master mind. He handed me some sheet music and I played what was on the page. I love that theme though, which of course was originally written for "Heroic Trunks" and then subsequently used in "Frieza's Death" and "Episodic Trunks". Future's Sword is based on the same idea. In fact the first two notes are identical, I switched it up after that.

(Ughh the filters here drive me nuts...in the context those tracks names are MISPELLED!)

Piccolo and Cell Fight is one of my favs!
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

Whenever the subject of FUNimation's executive meddling with the soundtrack comes up, I kinda want to make my own edit of the Z soundtrack.
I usually get stuck pretty quickly though, given the fact that the first two "seasons" don't have any Faulconer Productions tracks written for them, plus I've seen those episodes so many damn times now that they've become kind of boring to me.

Yeah...I'm listening to it now. It's 6:32 long. Your part is brilliant, sir. Very atmospheric and deep. 8)

Also, did you take part at all in composing "Ginyu Transformation", which is on the Best Of DBZ Vol. 2? That's another great one for me.

Thanks again :) Nope, "Ginyu Transformation" is 100% Bruce Faulconer, it actually was written before I even started working there. I did save it as it's own file though, so we didn't have to keep finding it in the original episode it was in.

Makes me wish it was longer!
Splendid bit, although the rest of the track is a lot of hit/miss but it's kind of exemplary of why I prefer to watch the Cell Arc with Faulconer's BGM - little bits like that!
