What if one of the friends totally betrayed everyone, though?
I see two potential schemes from dífferent series here. The first is based on VegettoEX idea and expanded upon. I think everyone in US is familiar with Gundam Wing the most (I like the UC most), how one of the Gundam pilots and heroes betrayed the cast in Endless Waltz. Not narrow mindedly, but for his own moral ideals as he was dissilusioned by the new emerging force. Well, that can definitely work with Gods in DBZ.
Second I thought up, is this ultimatum thing, like in Saint Seiya. OK guys, we have Athena here, you have 12 hours to save her or she dies and then you will be completely broken, defeated and we will rule or destroy the world afterwards.
None of them are much original, but killing for example Krillin???? Pfffffff! You can't be serious, he died 3 times allready + in GT!!!!!!!
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel
PS5: Dynamixx88
Trust me, I'm millenial and a designer.

I don't think there's any way to be sure since I don't think it's ever put to the test. The rule is meant to be that Shenlong won't grant the same wish twice, though; Porunga granting it
shouldn't mean that he can't grant it going by that wording, since he wouldn't be granting it twice, but...it really would have to be put to the test.

Though there is the issue with Gohan saying that no one but Trunks can be revived by the Dragon Balls if they die at the Cell Games, but Piccolo, Yamcha and Tenshinhan had only been revived by Porunga at that point...but does Gohan really know for sure? Maybe he talked to Dende about it while they were hanging out on the lookout before the battle?

Gohan was throwing bullshit. Porunga didn't have any problem bringing back Kuririn & Chaozu twice, and that was after Shen Long brought them back once. Shen Long just can't repeat wishes. He can bring Goku back twice, he can't bring world peace twice, he can't make Kuririn rich twice. Porunga doesn't have such a problem, and he is not affected by Shen Long in any way.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I guess someone could die and be wished back before the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai, but isn't that the same no-consequences nonsense with the addition of being stupid?
Gokuden wrote:They already all died at the end of the Buu Saga, you can't be wished back twice, right?
Krillin plot-hole.
Wait, what plot hole is this? Kuririn is resurrected once by Shen-Long and twice by Porunga. And one more tme by crazy rule-breaking Shen-Long at the end of
GT if you want to bring that up, which I don't have a problem with.
Oh yeah, there's always the option of using Porunga, you really can't kill anyone with any real consequences.
That time your teacher asked you to draw Cell in biology class.
This man is my hero:
To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.

By the end of Z, Porunga is completely overpowered, as he lost his main drawback... so, death has totally lost its meaning by then.
