I see where you're coming from to be honest. DBZ has certainly lost its luster over the years for me. I wouldn't be surprised if I started to like Sonic the Hedgehog more within the next 3 years to be honest. DBZ is still great but the lack of new, good, material every 5+ years is getting old. This series needs something to re-spark my "fangasms". However on the plus side I don't think I will ever not like the series. DBZ just has everlasting charm so its easy to keep that fire going.
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

Well its been around 15 Years for me. Since then DB was a big part of my Life especially from 2001-2005. Every Day had its Fandom Times. Reruns, Games, Mangas, The Movies, Merch, Forums. It was all around me. Then there came Times when you mature more and other Interests and Franchises came up as well. Dragonball vanished a bit in the Background and i slowly lost my Hardcore Fanboyism.
Nowadays i watch the Series and trying to remember all the Nostalgic Moments with it, playing some Videogames (i mostly have all Games released on Sonys Consoles over the Generations till Raging Blast 2), read the Mangas from time to time, enjoying the brilliant TeamFourStar and keep of course in Touch with new News. Can't wait for Battle of Gods.
Oh and i still hope for an Open World like Scenario Game, or just DBO coming to overseas to enlarge the Flame a bit more again. A Guy can dream, right?..

Well, Dragon Ball Kai actually helped for me
Also the English version which I've almost completely watched now. I had seen a few Japanese episodes so I was used to the voices and liked them (also the Kikuchi score :p). The Jump special helped, the other two not so much. Friggin' Dragon Ball Z Abridged, which must hold true for at least half of everyone visiting this site :p God I love Team Four Star. And of course anticipation for the new movie.
Apart from that my brother and I created an awesome self-made boardgame out of the world of Dragon Ball with which you can pretty much do everything you can in the Dragon World. You could in fact play the whole story of Dragon Ball Z (probably not so much Dragon Ball though) through the boardgame. So this is, I think, the one true thing that helped me keep close to the series
