Well, I'll likely see it long before it's ever officially available here.

Maybe this will force people to watch it in Japanese.

I'm not surprise that it might take two years for this movie to come out. It takes two years for each Rebuild of Evangelion film to come out in the US. I think we will get Battle of Gods on DVD & Blu-Ray in 2015 and the possible next DBZ film in 2016.

If FOX does go for it, I hope and expect that they'll stick with the existing cast. Come to think of it, wouldn't it be kind of funny if they brought back pre-Kai cast members like Tiffany Vollmer?

If they decide to make a new cast, though, it would be awesome to hear some other veteran voice-actors take a crack at the franchise. Frank Welker, Billy West, Clancy Brown and the like could be pretty exceptional.
This will never not be my sig:

I can't believe this is on-topic.

They will likely use the Funi voice cast since it's much cheaper and fans will be more happy with the voices that they are familiar with.

They could give a shot at the voice actors who make YouTube videos.

For Goku/Gohan, MasakoX would be a perfect match. FUNimation should hire him to be Goku's English voice. =)

I think a limited theatrical release will work. I don't care if it's subbed or not, if I can see it on the big screen that's all it matters. If the movie goes direct to video in the US then I won't lose any sleep over it. It's better then not having it come out in the US at all.

I'll just import Toei's Blu-ray while I wait.

That will only annoy me if I'm doing a YT search for clips. I can't imagine caring about a fandub otherwise.

Funimation license is set to end next year. If we don't hear anything about them renewing the series then Fox might have dub the movie themselves with the Funi voice cast.

FOX will most likely use the voice actors from the FUNImation dub to keep fans happy, but I'd like to see it get the same treatment that the Studio Ghibli movies get, with a cast of celebrity voices.

I'd like to see Nancy Cartwright, the voice actress for Bart Simpson, voice Goku.

Maybe Funi's big Dragon Ball announcement set for this year is a renewal of the rights to the anime.

They're not gonna let their biggest cash cow get away. That's for sure.

Celebrity voices will never work for a DBZ film. It works with Studio Ghibli films because those films are targeted to a bigger audience then the DBZ films. I don't think anyone in the US other then the Fans will go see this movie in theaters. I guarantee the vast majority of the movie-going audience in the US is not at all familiar with Dragon Ball other then the name of the show and maybe DBE.

I think most people 30 and under are aware of Dragonball, that's a pretty big audience.

They may know what it is, but that does not mean that they are familiar with the franchise. These movies are made for fans of the show and the movies do well in Japan because Japan has the biggest DB fanbase. I don't think most people in the US knows who characters like Majin Buu, Freeza or Cell are unless you tell them that they are from Dragon Ball Z. Selling this movie to a bigger audience will do poorly since most people who know nothing about the franchise will be confused with the story. That's why critics hated the Pokemon movies since they never saw the show or play the games to understand the movies.

If they really make the fans in the U.S. wait this long, I'm sure they'll lose a big commercial opportunity due to their piracy. Many of them are not that patient.
