Doesn't matter so much that she doesn't sound exactly like Nozawa, the show needs quality voice actors--not imitators. Nadolny's performance in movie 4 Path to Power is my favorite but her work though out the series is great too.
If you don't want imitators then why do you want Nadolny? She's just been doing a Saffron Henderson impersonation this entire time. And if you want quality voice actors then you should have no problem Clinkenbeard.
I only mentioned that to refute the point that she doesn't fit Goku just because Nozawa's voice sounds different. Nadolny voiced Goku for 153 episodes. Regardless of whatever similarities her take has with Henderson's, she developed into the character in her own way and fit the role perfectly in my opinion. And I never said Clinkenbeard is a poor actress. I love her as Luffy. Met her in person at Anime Weekend Atlanta for the One Piece the dub premiere, got a picture, and an autograph and everything. I don't even think her Goku is particularly bad. It's just not what I prefer nor is it what I'm used to.

Don't forget that Schemmel took over the role during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, making Nadolny's last episode 132! Of course, she also played him throughout GT, so the total number of episodes she played Goku is closer to 196.

It's a shame Colleen only got to voice Goku for Movie 1.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

And there was also that little snippet with Gero too when he fired off a kamehameha at someone.

A Dragon Ball Kai-fied version? So much that would be censored.

A shame? Nah. Thank god that she didn't voice Kid Goku much more than in Dragon Ball's Film 1 and on the flashback in Kai.

Agreed
It is clear that sometime in Mark Satan's life, he acquired the dragon balls and called upon shenlong to grant him immortality.

I second this. Clinkenbeard's Goku sounds too Luffy (although some other FUNi VAs suffer the same as Clinkenbeard when it comes to Dragon Ball-One Piece similarity). Also, what would they name this 'Kai' adaptation of Dragon Ball in Japan?

Yeah, i gotta agree. While Colleen was clearly a much better Gohan, to me Nadolny is Kid Goku. Does she still do stuff with Funimation? I honestly cannot recall hearing her in anything besides Dragonball.

How does Japan nowadays react to sex on anime? Would we still see those naughty moments of Bulma and Muten Roshi?

The most recent anime show I've seen was Soul Eater (purchased the complete series) from 2008 which had boobies and stuff, and for boners they had the dudes bleeding just like what you'd see happening to Muten Roshi.

Is the Dr. Frappe episode the only contradictory filler?
Canon is Jaco, Dragon Ball except for EoZ, Dragon Ball Super anime and manga (both are separate canons)

I think there was also one moment where they tried to explain the origin of the Dragon Balls as once being one large ball that got split into seven after people abused its power.

That was Roshi explaining the legend of their origin he apparently had heard of.

It isn't necessarily contradictory if Dr. Frappe had a friend named Gero...

I saw this scene about a month ago when my wife and I were doing our DB anime watch and it was interesting to see the character after everything I had heard on here and other fan sites. But there will always be ways to explain away contradictions and his presence really added something positive to the story I thought.

They've changed my life - changed the way I act on the earth. Doesn't that make them kind of real? They might be imaginary but, but they're more important than most of us here. And they're all gonna be around here long after we're dead. So, in a way, those things are more realer than any of us.

A lot of people bring this up as contradictory, but I've never seen it as such. Roshi says before beginning the story that it was a legend he heard and nothing more or something along those lines. He never said that this was the true, undisputed origin of the Dragon Balls.

With the recast some of the original dub VAs were fired and that being the case for Stephanie, however, she's got a new interview on the Dragon Ball Z: Season Five Blu-ray so she's at least giving an interview on what she used to voice.

I'm definitely looking forward to hearing what she has to say. :)

Huge mistake on FUNimation's side to replace Stephanie with Colleen. *sigh* :|

To hell with “Kai-ifying”! That's my opinion. The only thing they should do with “modern technology” is to use it to repair what has degraded over time. They should find the best possible masters and take advantage of the new home video standards to show us as much of the originality of the series as possible. After the series receives the treatment it deserves, they may do EVERYTHING they want with it.

One of the best things about Dragon Ball is that it was created in 1986-1989. Classic animation, old way of story telling, old music, old school atmosphere. These are the key parts of its epicness.

But if some people hate the original series so much that they absolutely need “refreshment”, the only way of doing that, which I would accept, is to create a new anime. Completely new adaptation of the manga instead of making another Frankenstein like Dragon Ball Kai.
