I'm glad for the survey, and I will be filling it out. The aspect ration question is a bit dumb, but I'm not surprised that they asked it. Mainly because there are some people who do want the 16:9 ratio. I don't agree with it, but I don't fault them for including the option, because that is part of a point of a survey, to find out what people want, so it makes sense to include it, right or wrong. We are a pretty big community here, so I would say, if enough of us say that we want 4:3, then they should have the option, or at least include a separate disc for widescreen or fullscreen. I have a widescreen TV, but that doesn't mean I watch my Kai Blu-rays in widescreen, I prefer the original, non-cropped, and it will stay that way. 16:9 on the orange bricks looks atrocious, so hopefully they will realize that, but still, makes sense for them to ask.

I thought about making this joke but was afraid....LOL :P
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Is there anyway we can take the survey multiple times to make sure this happens?!

I voted for 4:3 for the series and 16:9 for the movies and I mentioned that the TV specials don't count. I told them that I would probably only get a couple of sets to see some of my favorite scenes in HD or the scenes I like with the US score(s) since I already own the Dragonbox sets but if I got the money to burn I could possibly buy them all just for the heck of it.

I'm pretty excited about the prospect of a DBZ Blu-ray release that might actually be completed! Even if there's a chance of it being cropped (which is pretty bad) I have hope that the colors will be a lot better this time.

If anything, I'm more interested in picking up Kai as my hi-def material, because at least that's somewhat new, requires fewer purchases, and is more digestible viewing material in a lot of cases.
Oh, I think a lot of us are in the same boat. I'd just would not mind their being an alternative to the Orange Bricks. Because right now the only alternative is Kai, and while it's far from a bad one, it's not Z, which is a particularly big difference for Japanese-centric fans.

But we fall back to to ole' fact that the market is so dang over-saturated with Dragon Ball Z already that fixing the problem (for a second time, it must be said), only makes matters worse.

Sigh. I just wish they'd concentrate on finishing the Dragon Box line rather than doing yet another Z release. Yeesh.

Voted 4:3 of course. I won't buy this release unless they'll improve the audio source, though.

Menus were in 4:3... :eh: Anyway, it's him. Don't take it seriously.

Yeah, I'm not sure how you can take this survey and not sound condescending during the "why did you select the original production aspect ratio?" question box. I should've wrote "you just answered your own question. That's how it was originally produced."

I like some of the question like ''Why do you like Dragon Ball Z?'' and I replied ''Why wouldn't I? It's the greatest Anime known to mankind!'' LOL :P :D

Since FUNimation has gone to trouble of making this survey and tweeting/posting about it, I think it's entirely possible that they'll release this. With all the DB merchandise being released this year, I'm sure we'll get BoG sooner or later.

Cool. Only way I would consider buying these though is if they are the footage from the Level sets, rather than Blu-Ray orange bricks. The release format seems to mirror the bricks, but maybe they're actually the Levels sets being re-released in a more economic format? That would be sweet.

They did a survey about releasing more Dragon Box's too. That still hasn't panned out.

Here's hoping the re-master is at least as good as the initial FUNi blu-ray release, and in 4:3 of course.

I'll definitely pick these up if there are only 9 sets total, versus the 50 million sets they originally intended to sell.

It is easy as an owner of the Dragon Boxes to think, "Well, I got mine, good luck getting yours." Other than the Dragon Boxes, the only other way to get DBZ is those horrendous Season Sets, and frankly there should be another alternative. After all, those sets never should have happened to begin with and they cancelled the Level Sets. Just because I got mine doesn't mean others shouldn't get to. The orange bricks are available, yes, but come on. That's like saying, "We're all out of steak, but here's some rat feces you can eat."

Even though I probably won't buy the DBZ Blu-ray sets, since I already own the Dragon Boxes, but I filled it out and voted for the 4:3 original broadcasted version to be released on the Blu-rays.
