I do feel a CODE GOLD should be reserved for some sort of SSJ related controversial subject, but what would that subject be  ?

CODE YELLOW exits already for one. So there's no need for a CODE GOLD

TheGMGoken, thank you for steering the thread away from the OOC argument. Also, what are all these codes you're talking about?

Fair enough.

Ehh..id go with purple, easier to see against the white background of the site.
No. No codes creating. That's off topic and PM ONLY. Seriously. Y'all taking out of hand. Purple is already being used. Seriously when Me, RandomGuy,Kamicollo, and DBZFAN was the only ones who used the codes. It was better. Y'all not using it right. And using it wrong. Don't create codes(ESPECIALLY ON TOPICS! ITS A PM ONLY THING). And for the love of Kami talk about the damn topic. Speak about the REVIEW
Twas a joke :? .
The joked sucked.
There a code for getting bent out of shape over codes?

sorry, couldn't resist, but seriously, take it easy there were just having some fun with it.

The colored codes are codes that are brought up whenever a controversial argument is getting out of hand.

Is there a different code colour depending on the severity of the argument? If so, how are they ranked?

Heard my name, so I guess I'll do my thing and try to get us back on topic :P (From now on, this is my new self-appointed Green Code Ranger duty. To appear out of nowhere to bring threads back on topic. :P )

Overall, I liked the review. I'm just gonna start out with the negatives to get them out of the way.

I disagree that the lack of focus on action is that detrimental to the movie. Sure, Dragon Ball is known for its fights, but I feel that the action juxtaposed with the comedy in this movie is much better than, say, the constant fights of the Namek Arc or the latter half of the Buu Arc.

Second, I feel that this seeming callousness of Goku is a natural evolution of his character, especially after the Buu Arc. This is a guy who led a universe destroying monster roam around free when he could have stopped it, so that he could let his kids do it instead. It's not a development I like, and I hope it's not pushed any further, but the basis for it is in the manga.

Third, I feel your statement about it not being heralded for its music, aside from the American broadcast, might cause a few heads to shake, but I doubt the people you are writing this for will say anything, so it doesn't really matter.

Other than that, I liked the review. Everything was grammatically correct (a huge deal to me  ), and coherent. You didn't ramble on about anything, and you gave what was, IMO, a fair, unbiased review. Good job

I believe we covered Goku's controversial decisions in the Buu saga in another thread. He had good intentions but just didnt think it through enough. He let the boys handle Buu because he knew everyone was relying on him. He knows he wont be around forever and wants everyone to be able to handle themselves when hes gone. He had no idea Gotenks would behave the way he did so we cant really blame him on that. Its on Gotenks for screwing around with Buu when he could have easily killed him. Goku stalled for time, Gotenks stalled for fun.

The color represents a certain argument. The Goku vs Superman debate, for example, is labeled CODE BLUE.

Having fun is one thing. Ruining a topic with it is another. Take it to PM. Kaboom already warned us once. So why would you do it again?

Vegeta has always been an evolving character, perhaps the one who evolved the most of all the Dragonball characters. Accept that fact and move on instead of calling him "out of character". :)

No one in the audience for it will likely know jack about Dragon Ball music, it's not a problem.

My question is how you handle your mentions of Kai's music; if you're going to mention the Yammamoto plagiarism craziness, you'll need a bit more explanation, though still very brief, as to what you're referring to. Nor could I tell when referring to Kai's score whether you were talking about the original Yammamoto or the Kikuchi recut (Oh, look at me, talking about stuff only Dragon Ball fans would get after assuring Kamiccolo of another instance where only fans would get something!), if you mention that in the final version you should make it clear what its related to.

That's what I said. I was referring to the people on this site that he's asking to critique the review; not the people he's writing this for.

My main problem with your review: You used "Bills". Never use "Bills"

Man, I wish our English assessments were as cool as yours. The ones we have at our school are just, ugh. :|

I used 'Bills' because for the average person that'll be reading this (my English teacher for example) would find that easier to pronounce than say, 'Beerus'. To prove my point, the first time she read my review, she pronounced Vegeta 'Vejituh', the same way it's pronounced in the Big Green dub.

Also, this is the only good English assessment I have. Well, I did manage to sneak in an 'over 9000' example in a point about memetic mutation affecting people's vocabulary in a previous assessment, but that's about it.
