That was genuinely funny. Really nicely done!
The double cropped intro was great and of course, you can't forget the masterful remastering!

Funny? What's so funny about it? Haha, I kid, I kid.

On a more serious note, I'd like to thank you all for the positive responses not only to this April Fools' video, but to the progress of the project as a whole! I really can't wait to show everyone the completed product! Now let's talk about our progress. As of right now, I only need to record one more character until we're finished! Huzzah! Once we've finished recording, we're going straight into QC, which mainly entails checking the sound levels to ensure that things aren't too loud or quiet and to see whether we need to throw in additional sounds before release. It shouldn't take too long, but we won't be releasing it right away after that. There's a reason for this: we're actually trying to get a panel at a con where we can premiere the dub! The con isn't that big, but it's better than nothing: it's called SwarmCon and it's taking place on the 3rd and 4th of May. The con is located in Savannah, Georgia, and is being held by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). At the panel we plan on premiering the dub, showing off some behind the scenes stuff, and answering audience questions! I just sent in my application for the panel a couple days ago, but nothing is set in stone as of yet. I'll keep you guys updated on the status of the panel! If you want more info on the con, here's the official site: http://swarmcon.info/

Also, since all of you have been patiently waiting, I've put up a new preview clip for you guys! A few new voices make their debut with this one! I hope you guys enjoy!

Hm, I'm not sure if those were the best takes (out of the few we did) for Kuririn, but that might be me being over critical of my own performance. At least when he's trying to pull the Radish out the 'Errgehh' type sound. Gure seems a little quiter than she should be. Took me a second to adjust to Trunks, but there was a point where MugiMikey (so a grown man is voicing him like the Japanese version) sounded like Kusao, it was the 'Yay, I got the longest'. So, I guess even for Trunks you were following the Japanese voice type.

I'll be sure to address those problems with Gure! Drop me a PM, email, or message on Skype so we can talk about Kuririn's lines. What did you think about the other performances?

Just checked out that preview. You guys are planning on deinterlacing that footage prior to release, I assume?

Actually, this gives me the perfect opportunity to talk about how we plan to distribute this thing! We aren't actually going to release the video with the dub. Instead, the viewer will receive an audio only version of the special to sync up with their own video source Rifftrax style, in hopes of encouraging viewers to support the official release. Of course, we do know that this is the real world and people will probably obtain the video through other means, but this method of release feels better to us from an ethical standpoint. We will use a better video source for the panel screening, however. I just haven't gotten around to ripping it from my Battle of Gods Special Edition yet, haha!

Hey, everybody! At this point the dub is pretty much done, save for minute details here and there. It will be released soon after the SwarmCon premiere this Saturday at 10 AM! Anybody in the Savannah, Georgia area should come! Registration is only $15 and starts at 9:30 AM. Here are links with some more info:

Main Site - swarmcon.info
Location - http://swarmcon.info/information-2/location/
Events/Panels Schedule and Descriptions - http://swarmcon.info/information-2/events-and-panel/

I'll keep everyone posted! Thank you guys for your continued support!

Hey, everybody! We had loads of fun at Swarm Con yesterday, even if our audience was kind of small. As promised, here are the download links for the fandub! These files are audio only in order to encourage people to use their DVD versions for the video. Either play it Rifftrax style or mux it into your video ripped from the DVD. I know it's a pain in the neck, but this is the most ethical method we could come up with. I hope you guys enjoy! Let me know if I missed something during QC and I'll fix it in a v2 release:

Wasn't convinced for the first 5 minutes or so but that was pretty decent for a fan effort. Congrats on actually getting it all done.

I think most of my criticisms are pretty much expected for a fan effort - acting quality, varying mic quality and a lack of vocal processing to show they're outside vs. inside etc.

Aside from those nitpicks, I think my only other complaint would be the awkward pauses here and there. Better rewriting of lines for the mouth flaps would have sorted that but it's a minor issue that was only really present at the start.

A solid effort though. Enjoyed it a lot! Videl and Vegeta were highlights. Something about Videl's accent really grabbed me.

Seriously though, take my criticisms with a pinch of salt. This is the most impressive fandub I've seen. Good stuff.

Hey, everybody! I uploaded a commentary track featuring SEETHERSGIRL and myself as well as "Behind the Fandub" audio recordings from SSJ4Furanki and Mugen026 that were originally featured at the 2014 SwarmCon Panel. I also went through the dub again and edited the audio levels (both versions) in order to hopefully make things a little more consistent. I hope you guys enjoy!

Some nice voices (others less good, like Vegeta's). I really like Gotenks. The songs are nicely done, although I'm not sure I like the script changes done to them.

I appreciate the feedback! I'm glad that you enjoyed some aspects! I still stand by Ryusuke's Vegeta, but hey, different strokes for different folks. To address the songs, I do realize that Cha La is more based on the Filipino version which can be a point of concern for some, but to be honest this version of Cha La was one I found before I did this dub, haha. I just liked the singing so much that I wanted it for this dub! If I had somebody do Cha La from scratch I would have made sure the lyrics were more accurate. As for Orange Hero, however, I thought it was pretty accurate. Roxas did take liberties, but I think it still stays true to the original's spirit. All the changes made were to the benefit of his version, making it feel like a song rather than a translation of a song. But again, different strokes for different folks. All in all, I'm glad you had good things to say about our dub! Thanks a bunch! Your feedback is extremely valuable, believe me!
