Oh man, Picking a favorite for me is like a father picking his favorite child....

I watch both english and japanese dub equally (I love both the same as well), but if I have to choose one I would go with the English, FUNimation dub I guess, but with the japanese dub at close second.

Japanese for sure. The dubs are alright, I just really prefer the original.

Portuguese.

I don't think i will ever see the series so many times in japanese like I saw with portuguese dub.
Too much tv reruns.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Japanese has always been the default for me. Anything else just feels like a cover of a classic, timeless song.

Original Japanese cast.

I rarely ever watch anything on the PC but if I do then I might go with the Mexican dub or Brazilian dub these two are the only two that can really top the Japanese cast.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I always watch it in the format the filmmakers intended for me to watch it in.

I realized yet again that I actually cannot put down one or the other, between Japanese and Funimation. I'm the most language-neutral English-speaking Dragon Ball fan I've ever met in any setting. Just posting to say this is a great idea.

From reading everyone's comments and looking at the results so far, it seems like, although there's a good chunk of Japanese-only fans, there's a large bunch of guys who enjoy the show in a whole variety of languages. Even those who can be very vocal about the short-comings of the dubs still take a lot of enjoyment from them. Very interesting.

Japanese. The English dub of Kai is very well done, it's really just a matter of which came first.

Japanese.

I have a feeling that with the exodus of many older members, and a giant migration of young bucks who aren't a fan of the Japanese original, I have a feeling that the numbers will be very different.
My favourite art style (and animation) outside Toriyama who worked on Dragon Ball: Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru, Masaki Satō, Minoru Maeda, Takeo Ide, Hisashi Eguchi, Katsumi Aoshima, Tomekichi Takeuchi, Masahiro Shimanuki, Kazuya Hisada

This is hard for me, even when thinking about which version comes to mind first when someone says 'Dragon Ball', because...well, for me, that varies depending on the character, and sometimes even their facial expressions. Just with Goku alone, there are times when he'll make a face that, no matter what, I hear Nozawa, even if I'm watching the dub at that exact moment. And the other side of the coin holds just as true for me; there are times that I can be watching the show in Japanese, and a certain look will come over Goku's face, and I'll hear Schemmel regardless.

But I guess if we're just going to go with what language I primarily watch the show in...then that would probably have to be English, and because I still feel like I'll probably watch Z more often than Kai, it has to be that dub, despite all of it's faults (and oh yes are there many). I tend to multi-task while I watch things, and that's a lot harder to do while watching subtitled, so...well, it just doesn't happen too often. I've only seen the franchise through subbed once as it is (barring all of Kai and the extended version of BOG, both I've only seen in dubbed form).

So yeah, say what you will of it, but I guess I have to say: English (FUNi, Z).

I'm like that sometimes. When I fancy putting something on in the background, I tend to watch old VHS rips of the Westwood cast doing their thing. I know it's absolutely abysmal but those are the English voices that I'm most familiar with so I don't so much mind. The original Japanese will always be my baby though!
