So, now that Stalin is out its Scarlett O'Hara?

And because I don't consider Goku shitty that means that I consider Chichi a bitch?

And you blame Goku for not thinking deeply on things when he is in a shonen? I understand that argument regarding Vegeta not thinking about all the genocides he committed because that's so dark that there's no going around it even if it is a shonen, but regarding Goku?

Please, dude, spare me... Its obvious that you are more interested in twisting my points illogically than interpreting them so knock yourself out.

You know, either you intentionally bring everything at absurdum or you have a real problem with abstract thinking. Both are bad for this discussion, but first would be better for you. You are really taking this too emotionally.

Goku is not a great father when it comes to fatherly things, but there is nothing in the story that suggests he doesn't care about Gohan and only looks at him as a sparring partner. He's a man who loves fighting and tried to pass it on to his son, but eventually found out during the Cell Games that he doesn't care about fighting like he does. Imagine a dad who loves basketball and tries to get his son to like it too, it's kind of like that in my eyes. His friends praise him for being a great person and so does Gohan. That shows he's not a shitty father, but he's not the greatest father either.
Heroes come and go, but legends are forever.

Rest in peace.

I like when he got millions of people permanently killed due to his own hubris and felt no regret while learning nothing from it. That gave me warm feels.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I don't know if I'd call it that, but I guess! He's my favorite fictional character! When Goku re-unites with Grandpa Gohan for the first time, my heart melted. So I guess that's an accurate term!

Oh, he gives me warm feels arlight! But to be serious for a moment here... oh yeah, he gives me warm feels, alright!

But to be really serious for a moment, I really do like Goku's character. When I used to see him do that goofy smile of his I can't help but feel good myself.
