Well,goku lifted a boulder in the scene where they are testing to see how well the z sword can cut.That boulder from the manga scan looking to be in the 15-20 ton range.And in the end of db goku flipped over that big piccolo.

Ofc goku should not have trouble with 40 tons at this point,logically,but since its fiction ye... ^^

Ye in the anime the boulder goku lifted is much larger,the manga one less than 2 meters in diameter.

Either way z characters have lame strength showings ^^

Best one in the entire series is tao pai pai throwing that pillar,which would require an insane amount of strength,next is goku flipping over the enlarged piccolo.I think it said that the piccolo goku flipped over became 10 times taller,so taking that into account its 10x10x10 x119 kg=119 tons or so.

Ofc not like it matter what strength showings they got,they are still impressive.
