What do you hope to see in Dragon Ball Super?

That Luffy is cropped. He's in the background. That image is from an episode with Tate Naoki acting as the animation supervisor. He doesn't try to draw on model, especially when he has to rush. He'll intentionally make his episodes look funny to just roll with it. He's a great animator and has been an animator for Dragon Ball since Dragon Ball Episode #75. He moved to Toei Animation after Seigasha's founder, Take'uchi Tomekichi, passed away.

I expect Shida Naotoshi to do something for the opening animation. Hopefully we'll see a really good first episode with a lot of good animators.

I definitely would love to see Piccolo strong enough to roll with the Saiyans and yes Kuririn too. Can we at least have one human who can roll with the big dogs as well? I mean he can't be stronger then them but strong enough to hold his own, if not Kuririn then Tien.

I only say Kuririn because he's Goku's best pal it's only right in my eyes. They should be fighting side by side a little more.

There isn't any Super Human or Super Namekian forms so i don't understand why there would be a SHGSH or a SNGSN. Maybe a Super Human God and Super Namekian God but not an extra super on the end.

Ahh, i hate all this extra super stuff. Why couldn't Akira Toriyama have just called it Saiyan God instead of Super Saiyan God ? Now we have ended up with Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan and it's become so stupid and ridiculous. Saiyan God Super Saiyan sounds so much better and makes more sense.

EDIT: No, i was wrong, Saiyan God Super Saiyan sounds stupid as well. The red haired form should be called Saiyan God and the blue haired form should be Super Saiyan God, that sounds better and makes more sense

Technically SSGSS is just Super Saiyan. SSGSS is just a way of differentiating it from the pre god super saiyan form

- Choreographed martial arts fights. Some of my favorite fights in the series are mostly from the original Dragon Ball. Mostly being how creative the fighting can be and not just beam fights. And, from what I've seen and heard from Resurrection F, I really hope hope that's there.
- While I'm pretty sure the music will be done by Sumitomo (which'll probably mean the music will just be....there), I kinda would like something from Hiroki Takahashi and Ushio Hashimoto do the opening and ending. ...or JAM Project. ...I do want something of the style of the old Kikuchi music, but only modernized so that it sounds like a martial arts movie made in this time rather than in the 80s. That probably won't happen though.
- More adventures from the characters that aren't Goku and Vegeta (though Goku and Vegeta can still have their time in the sun).

Random ideas for a few arcs

*Start of at the 29th Budokai, re-introduce everyone after a time-skip. Establish that everyone's there to see Goku who's been off training Uub for the last 3 years. Go through a couple fights, have a Goten / Trunks rematch, have Uub get pretty far (beating Fat Buu along the way) before getting stopped by either Goku or Vegeta, establish that Pan and Bra won't be completely annoying and useless for the rest of the series. Final fight for the right to fight Mr. Satan would be Goku vs Vegeta, have them trade a few blows before being interrupted by the new bad guy.
*Bad guy stomps everyone, kills Tien, Krillin, and Piccolo. Is barely beaten by Blueper Saiyan Goku & Vegeta actually working together.
*Whis reveals that the bad guy was a student from another universe's God of Destruction, wants Goku and Vegeta to go there and investigate what's going on. Handwave a reason why Whis & Beerus can't go.
*Goku & Vegeta get sent off in a new spaceship made by Bulma, establish that it'll take a year for them to get to his temple.
*King Kai trains the guys who died, teaches them Kaioken, reveals that he didn't the first time because they were too weak to handle it.
*Whis offers to train the cast with Saiyan blood and also Uub

*Viewpoint in this arc mainly focuses on Earth, occasionally switches to Goku & Vegeta fighting people and getting into adventures and wacky hijinks.
*Another bad guy shows up at Earth, accompanied by a bunch of strong henchman. His origin doesn't really matter to me, that's up for an actual writer to figure out.
*Goten, Trunks, Tien, Piccolo, and Uub fight the henchmen. Goten and Trunks fuse to beat one, Uub kills one, Piccolo kills one, and Krillin and Tien kill one with a solar flare / destructo disk combo.
Gohan fights the bad guy, ends up beating him after a prolonged battle

*Viewpoint switches back to Goku / Vegeta who've gotten stronger from a year of training with each other and their adventures.
*Reveal that this universe's god has a grudge against either Beerus & Whis or the Kais, sent his student to kill them and destroy the universe.
*Goku takes the god and Vegeta takes his attendant. Goku struggles with the stronger God, while Vegeta eventually gets the upperhand and kills his attendant.
*Vegeta stays on the sidelines per Goku's wishes.
*He attempts to step in anyway after Goku starts getting pummeled, starts to get attacked and stomped.
*Goku uses this window to build up a new attack which kills the god and saves Vegeta
*Both take another year to return home.

*Have a tourney arc that gets finished for once.
*Fighters are Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Uub, Goten, Trunks, Pan, and Piccolo
*Finals is obviously Goku / Vegeta. Goku wins barely by ringout.

*Have another arc centering around the Makaioshin or a rehash of the Shadow Dragons or something

I'm really hoping that Super takes place after Goku leaves with Uub. I'm getting sick of DBZ taking place after Buu and before Goku leaves with Uub. I mean we had Son Goku and His Friends Return, Battle of Gods and Revival of F in that era. We can move on to the next era of Dragon Ball before Toriyama closes out the story for good? I don't think GT will have any issues if Toriyama decides to have Super take place after Goku leaves with Uub. GT can be view as a what if sequel to DBZ in a different timeline. Not to mention we will have two endings to the series and giving the fans to choose on what ending that they like better. It's like how Evangelion is with the anime and manga since they both have two different endings.

I don't think that's gonna happen. We got a "definitive" end to Dragon Ball nearly 20 years ago. And then Dragon Ball Super became a thing. Face it. Dragon Ball will never end.

Nah. The Pilaf gang being children allowed for some really fun character interactions, like Mai and Trunks, and their new aesthetic fits with the humor they bring to the series. GT's version of the crew was honestly pretty boring in comparison.
