You keep saying he doesn't sound 29 but Sabat was in fact 29.

Do you have any idea what people sound like at any age? I know that sounds incredibly hostile, but his performance in BoG in no way sounds old, unless you consider 40 old.

I've never seen Big G. WHat does that have to do with Piccolo?

I know mid twenties people can have deep voices but its not usually the standard so you can't blame me for being taken out for a while

It's not unusual either. I can blame you for that because it's not as though you can't find multiple men on any given day that have a deep voice. And I keep coming back to the actor being that age.

Drummond doesn't sound any younger than Sabat.

But it's believable because you have heard it, and it's not like every character has that deep of a voice.

The droning is a fault of the script, the rasp is all but gone. Many people have raspy voices. What is Vegeta's character?

Rasp: there is still some rasp present but just not as bad as the redub.

Prideful | see- "Droning"
Cold | He doesnt sound scary in the least
Arrogant | he kind of gets it but not fully. Doesnt matter I'll give him +1 for it.
Unmerciful | See- any of the above.

There's a similar quality but it's not the same. Piccolo is much deeper and Vegeta has more rasp.

What do you mean by a droning voice? Droning means a continuous low humming. You just pick adjectives out of thin air.

That's not really Piccolo in Z. And Piccolo's really only scary in the early episodes of Z, that goes away fairly early, especially once he gives his life to protect Gohan.

Yes, talking at length is "droning" but how does that have anything to do with his performance that's a function of the writing.

Sorry, got confused. If you think that, then i counter with Drummond is out of character for Vegeta. Vegeta's not mustache twirly, saturday morning cartoon villain evil with his voice.

A matter of the script and speak for yourself. I and so many others don't get tired of hearing him talk. The amount he talks is a matter of the script, not performance.

Take that up with the writers, that has nothing to do with Sabat's performance. He talks as much as Piccolo talks as determined by the script. Sabat can't just insert lines.
