But I wonder what they could possibly improve graphically. On the PS2 it already looked pretty much spot on, whatever they'll add now will probably be trivial details, bigger areas, clothing and hair movement, snazzy things like that, but nothing ground breaking. Or they'd break the style of the game.

That's a good point. I mean, assuming they'll keep it cel-shaded, you can't really do that much to the graphics in a game like that. Maybe you can make the outlines look a little better or something like that, but if you go any farther, it might take away from the cartoon-feel.

Actually, there's still a lot of improvement that can be made to the Cel Shading style. At current, while it does have a faux 2D appearance, you can still easily note it's 3D origins. Even in the best Cel Shaded game. The pinacle of Cel Shading will be when you can no longer tell the difference between the game you are playing and the series it's based on, where the in-game fights look like clips from the show.

So there's still a lot of improvements that can be made to the appearance. Course, this is BT2 we're talking about, and unless it follows in the footsteps of LOG and makes DRASTIC improvments on everything, well, it wont be with the next gen game price by a long shot no matter what grapical improvements it makes.
