G.S. and Ultimate Gohan are the only versions I like in Buu saga. For Great Saiyaman, I thought that he was gonna at least do something with his fighting career after his daddy died, until he stopped. I think he should've been the Dragon Ball's Spiderman while the other Z warriors are more like the Avengers, without Goku being there of course.
I remember the reason why I first liked him was because I played him in Budokai 1. I can just remember that time 13 years ago!

They screwed up with their spoiler tags. Quote their posts to see what they did wrong.soppa saia people wrote:DBZfan7 and Metalwario 64 what's up with your posts ?
Re: Thoughts on Great Saiyaman
I think Great Saiyaman is entertaining in the right dosage. And it seems to make sense for Gohan; a bookish kid raised up in the mountains wouldn't be the coolest cat in town, at least not when he's intentionally trying to be. I dunno that I would have wanted much more of him than they ended up doing in the anime, though. There are other things about Buu saga Gohan I'd rather see expanded.
IMO, all the characters commenting on how stupid the Saiyaman outfit was were far more annoying than Saiyaman himself. For one thing, I think the costume looks pretty good (better with the helmet than the shades and turban), and that "joke" wasn't nearly funny enough to warrant so many repeats.

Re: Thoughts on Great Saiyaman
It's really hard for me to find the Gohan of the Freeza and Cell arcs to be compatible with the goofy Great Saiyaman.
That said I am willing to acknowledge that 7 years is a long time and we never saw this kid in peacetime where he could just enjoy himself. He went from being a kidnapped infant, to watching his dad die, to training with a "demon", to watching his friends murdered on a battle field, to going to Namek and watching a mass genocide, to thinking his dad died again, to waiting for his dad to return to Earth, to training for Androids, to the watching his dad finally die for real.
I can get how he might distance himself from fighting and take a more idealized view of being a hero.
