I was actually ok with him being the reason King Kai's planet was so small back when I first saw Battle of Gods, since it was just an offhand comment. The problem for me, is that it seems they're trying to explain away Beerus as the answer to everything in the franchise. I just think it's starting to get kind of annoying.

It doesn't help that Beerus as a whole is starting to get on my nerves. He's able to get away with being a petty little brat just because he's the God of Destruction. I really hope that someone finally manages to defeat him by the end of the series, if it means putting him in his place.

Beerus did it is no different to me than "Bardock is a brilliant scientist" or "He made me evil" as Vegeta put it. Both are dumb. Bardock is not a scientist, and Vegeta was already an evil scumbag. I can't imagine Freeza being perfectly ok with monsters who are stronger than he is.

They were nothing compared to him. It was their potential that was scary.

I think they are talking about Beerus. I do agree that it seems odd that Freeza was motivated to blow up planet Vegeta out of fear of the saiyan's potential but he's completely fine with Beerus being out there and doesn't seem to care either.
Going on hiatus. Too much stuff in RL to deal with for me to keep up with posts here for now. Was fun, hope you all have a nice day and future! Volt signing off.

I guess a emperor like himself knows that there is forces out there beyond his power. Freeza has a ego when someone is stronger than him after losing. Freeza knows that Majin Buu, Zuno, Beerus, Whis and his brother Coola (I know he is a Toei only villain. He is still apart of the franchise) are stronger than him.

And Freeza wouldn't tolerate this. One of the things both Vegeta and Freeza have in common is that they think they're tough shit but instantly lose it whenever someone dares to prove themselves their superior. Freeza wouldn't just let Beerus' victory over him happen without him doing something, ANYTHING to make sure it didn't happen again. But Neo-Toriyama has given him the IQ of a mentally challenged rock so screw accurate characterization.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

The way I see it is Freeza can still have his ego, he'd just see himself as the strongest mortal in the universe, magical beings and Gods are a different realm.

As for Beerus "ordering" Freeza to blow up planet Vegeta, I'm not entirely cool with that, what I would be cool with is Beerus influencing Freeza to do it. It would be in character for Beerus, seeing Freeza as so self important, to pay him a visit, humble him, and play with Freeza's paranoia with Saiyan legends and Gods. Pleased with freaking Freeza out, Beerus then goes to take his 39 year nap and dreams of Saiyan Gods himself, viola.

It would make for a nice flashback scene in Super I think.

Considering Vegeta was completely disrespected by Beerus in his own home as a child.
(King Vegeta through a feast in Beerus honor, but Beerus beats King Vegeta over a pillow. Child Vegeta gets beat in his own home as well after he jumps in.) Beerus also smacks Vegeta's wife..
Vegeta after ALL this is being shown to be a pansy in Super by groveling at Beerus feet while he calls his servant boy.
The reason people like Vegeta is because he doesn't take crap from anybody. He was woefully outmatched by Frieza but his pride would never let him stoop to the levels we see now. Vegeta would rather die than put up with the indignities they are putting on him now.... I'm so ticked off at this writing.
