Unfortunately, they're going to break up before the End of Z. If Trunks would have been Mai's boyfriend, wouldn't she be all supportive for him during the 28th WMAT? Of course, this was before Mai/Pilaf/Shu's new story got written.

You know what I find VERY ironic? I'm almost certain that there are some TruPan shippers out there who absolutely HATE this pairing,

All us shippers have a small outcry when a different ship becomes cannon

but Mai herself even looks almost IDENTICAL to Pan in Dragon Ball GT.

I prefer never use the term 'Slap in the face' unironically unless someone actually slaps m in the face.

Still, I still remember back when the first batch of promotional artwork for the Zamasu arc was revealed, and people actually thought (I kid you not) Future Mai was supposed to be Future PAN.
