It's not that I think he's alive, I just don't think we should write him off as dead until we see him die.

Having read through Herms translation. The summary was a bit particular in labelling Gowasu has being "murdered" and Zamasu has being "destroyed". If anything I think it's safe to make the assumption Gowasu as dead and should be cautious about Zamasu.

The descriptions have been deceptive before. I'm just taking a "wait-and-see" approach.

That's because that Kami was never seen except in the Garlic Jr. arc.

That DB Wiki link the guy provived to me states that his first appearance was in a flashback shown during the original DB.

The Wikia claims he debut in Episode 125. To my recollection, that episode featured God speaking of the previous God and how the Great Demon King was born. I'm struggling to catch a memory that the same person we saw in the Garlic Jr. arc was also seen in the Piccolo arc. Better memories would be appreciated.

I wouldn't consider that a great source. I doubt they are one in the same.
