I don't wanna see Bardock either. I'm personally one of those guys who felt like his story started and ended in ths original Bardock special. He doesn't need anymore than that for me. All of these attempts to bring him back for something are just horrible in my opinion.

Xenoverse 2 actually handled it pretty well. I don't mind him being used in that context. Also, Young Jijii is doing a Bardock story right now, and he's historically pretty good at channeling Dragon Ball.

I can take or leave Bardock. But since Trunks came back due to popularity, I wouldn't doubt it if Bardock made some appearance as well.

I haven't played much of XV2 besides the title screen nor have I read Jijii's comic, but I'll try and take your word for it.

The comic has no Bardock at all, and tbh Bardock as a character barely has much impact on the story except for the very end. [spoiler](and there's a secret fight with him post-game, but is kinda optional)[/spoiler]

Bardock is more likely since Toriyama still remembers him and Toei can ask him to come back similar how Toriyama was able to write Future Trunks back in the story.
