The upcoming Hit arc: Canon or Filler?

Hit's power level was already behind Blue Goku's anyway but with his timeskip he was able to fight on par with him when he used the Kaioken x10 and I don't think even Black at his strongest would have been able to do that.

If he'd continued to increase the lenght of his timeskip then combined with his as yet unseen killing techniques then I wouldn't think it'd be unlikely for Hit to be able to beat him.

Hit didn't use his assassination techniques, which are his forte.

We got hints of all arcs (and clear hints) weeks and weeks before the real beginning. If any hints so far, those listed are titles of mini-arcs (call them "filler" if you like).
An ENTIRE arc with Hit? Mmmmmno.

I am 100% sure, the U12 time traveller has something to do with this.

In the manga, it is explained that the first alternate time ring was created by a Universe 12 time traveler. As to why some people assume this next arc is connected to that event...I'm not quite sure.

I think it will be filler. Toriyama is going to rescue Hit again for sure, at least for the 12 universe tournament, so let's see what do they do with the character. I think it's gonna be something like Tenshinhan and Chaoz with that wildboar with wings filler episode of Dragon Ball. On the other hand, if they resurrect North Kaio, that couldn't be non canon, that's something major. We'll see.

Until we get told otherwise, Not only do I believe this is a filler episode, it's probably a gag filler episode.

Like maybe, 'Hit must kill Goku....IN A PIE EATING CONTEST!"

I do hope I'm wrong though, An arc about Hit, filler or not, sounds pretty neat.

Does it really matter in Super what's "canon?" Every episode is canon.

This isn't true. Every episode is canon to the Super anime, but the Super anime isn't canon at all to the original dragon ball manga.
Dragon ball doesn't have one true canon, but the Super anime seems to be following the dragon ball kai continuity.

Oh, GOD, PLEASE let this "Hit arc" be canon. Personally, I find the idea of the "Ultimate Assassin" hunting down Goku of all people, to be very interesting. I mean, now that there's no "tournament rules" holding him back, Hit can safely go all out and use his supposedly "deadly" techniques against Goku like Goku had asked him to do. Not to mention, if Hit were to successfully kill Goku, there's still the mystery of just WHO put a "Hit" out on Goku. (*Puts sunglasses on* All right, I'll stop now. )

Also, I REALLY hope that if Hit were to go all-out against Goku, he would pull out ALL the stops in order to incapacitate ALL of his family members and friends, so that no one can interfere with his job, and we all know that Goku's got a LOAD of backup on his side, so Hit would need to be UNBELIEVABLY thorough in dealing with everyone who Goku has as a contact for backup.

It's filler. I thought Hit saga would be the one appearing in the Jump Festa as written by Toriyama but now we have our confirmation that is part of Toei's thing.

I just remembered now that Toriyama said after Future Trunks saga, a promise will be fulfilled. Doesn't seem to be related to Hit, though.

There has been no Toriyama comment or credit to him about the upcoming Hit arc, and there's also the still upcoming announcement next week. So, this is almost certainly filler. The preview also showed several new characters, so the lack of Toriyama artwork stands out even more.

It does seem to be more ambitious than previous filler arcs though.
