Well blatant over the top reaction aside, the anime is still superior. As a whole the manga has terrible pacing because part of it is fast and part of it is slow. There's a big chunk missing out of it. Obviously the artwork would be more consistent because it's one person so that's a non factor.

It has too many homages with the artwork and it's simply not as interesting at all. Black who has become a very popular character in a short period of time would never have taken off if he was portrayed as he is in the manga version where he's severely lacking in character. Trunks has been for the most part completely useless. Future Mai who ended up being a surprisingly good character from the anime has been worthless in the manga.

It lacks any of the atmosphere and tension that the anime version had. The sense of mystery which made the saga so interesting in the anime just jumps straight to an answer in the manga.

It's just a boring, straight forward version of the anime version. Even small things like Trunks going to meet Gohan in the present and seeing how different his life has become from the adult Gohan that he knows....there's nothing like that in the manga. Little scenes with Vegeta and Trunks interacting and showing how different Vegeta treats his son now...not really in the manga. Trunks and Mai's relationship was interesting in the anime because it's different yet there's not much of one at all in the manga.
I disagree, the Manga have tension and atmosphere, look at the current chapter and 21 and there is a father and son moment in the manga and trunk is far from useless, saying that is like saying krillin and gohan were useless in the Saiyan and namek saga
Mai and trunks relationship is ok,is not like the manga turned her to a coward that hides in the corner but I agree there too much homages and they get annoying
Aside from homage and exposition Time, the manga is entertaining and unpredictable imo, I would have been twice as Boring if it was an abridged version or a copy paste from the anime
I really don't find it necessary for the manga to be an Anime, is fine the way it is and I'm also ok what I got in the Anime, because anime black≥manga black
I look at that Shadow clone jutsu of an ending and wonder to myself if that's really the reason they have to use the Zeno Button here? Seriously, for that?! Haha! WHAT?!
What do you mean, for that? You're acting like it's not an issue.
The dude regrows into a new full power clone the moment any part of him gets removed. And it's endless. How is that not a worthwhile threat? He can ruin every universe with this ability.

Of course, he's seen such violence from mortals for years under his time of serving as an apprentice Kaioshin. You make it sound like he only saw short tid bits of it when he's seen quite a lot worse especially when DB constantly shows mortals harming others for their sadistic and selfish pleasures such as with Freeza (terrorized the universe and destroyed planets) Frost (manipulating wars for his own gains) Boo (killed millions of inhabitants from other planets and nearly killed all Kaioshins), the list goes on.
PeanutSaiyan wrote:Took Goku's body then spent days drinking tea and trying to exterminate a race that Nappa could have handled on his own?
It's stated in the arc that Zamasu wanted humanity in Earth to suffer greatly for their sins and audacity to defy the gods by playing a role in developing a vessel capable of time traveling and altering history. Plus, by the time Black first walked upon Future Earth, he already killed the vast majority of humanity anyways with his Kamehameha.
PeanutSaiyan wrote:The exploration of his character and motivations were so paper thin it's frustrating to watch and even read in the manga. His convictions were weak and more importantly incredibly general.
An apprentice Kaioshin, who is about to become an overseer of life, that once respected and humbled the gods along as having a strong passion of ensuring justice, gone astray and rogue after witnessing the numerous mistakes of humanity and mortals and irresponsibility of the gods. He essentially turned into a narcissistic, genocidal and self righteous sociopath that considers all those (including gods) that go against his ideology plague to nature and unnecessary. It's all the more accentuated when he starts to become someone no different than the mortals that he so detests, especially when Zamasu/Goku Black starts to inherit some character traits from the man he considers the accumulation of the mortals' sin, becomes a rambling and screaming psychopath that took away from his sanity to the point of assimilating all of existence with him presence merged with it and turning it to a living Hell. An unexplored character, I don't think so.

This turned into an anime vs manga thread far too quickly.
I think the manga could be adopted into movies or maybe OVAs. An actual full anime, no way. I don't think people would watch that, based on how Kai did compared to Z.
In the future, I'd like to see the anime adopt the manga as it happens. The problem is that the manga is monthly, which means that the anime would catch up extremely quickly. So they'd either have to add a ton of filler to the anime, or they'd have to pull "Garlic Jr. arcs" between every manga-based one. Not an ideal situation.

It'll never happen though. If things like Pokemon Special or any of the Yugioh mangas never got an anime adaptation, then the lesser known DBS manga definitely won't

Youd literally be watching the same show but with changes to certain situations. I dont think its different enough to warrant its own animated series.
        Currently watching: My Hero Academia

Last watched: Akame Ga Kill, Hokuto No Ken, Hokuto No Ken 2, Hunter X Hunter

I dunno could be due to his clones only growing when a weakened Vegeta still mustered enough power to blow him to pieces. And so far from the last panel, it's only a few clones in one area of a planet. So Zeno shouldn't have an issue Hakaing a small group of copies without destroying a multiverse. If he tried to do what Savitar was planning in the season finale of Flash, then i'd consider that a worthwhile threat.
He devolved into saying only one word. Time to hit the ol' cosmic trail.
