I don't see what this has to do with my post. I never mentioned Vegeta, a character who has been acting oddly out of line with his portrayal for much of Dragon Ball Super as of this already bloated mess of a story arc.Shinda Forever wrote:Hellspawn28 wrote:I find funny how some Vegeta fanboys are desperate to see Hitto getting stomped by Jiren. What do you think Jiren is going to do to Vegeta? Lose?
First, we saw thread after thread saying that he wouldn't be able to use his time skip ability, but that was already disproved, now, they want to see him knocked the fuck out with a single hit. That is not going to happen either. Toshio already said Hitto is having great fights.

Really? There's something about Jiren's design I like a lot. I think it is a combination of his "clean, simple" look, and the traditional "Grey alien" head.Shinda Forever wrote:I think popularity will be the decisive factor for the future. Yeah, i think Jiren is weird. I mean his eyes are really strange. Jiren in the anime looks like light purple not grey.TheZFighter wrote:Really? There's something about Jiren's design I like a lot. Why is everyone arguing over which fanbase is going to get destroyed first? So petty!
But no need to worry! All of your favorite characters are going to get destroyed in one way or the other, all of them. The only ones that are safe (until probably the final three or four) are Goku and Gohan.

Re: How Would Your Ideal Hit Vs. Jiren Fight Go?
My ideal fight? Hmm...well it's a bit long but hopefully this entertains at least a few people:
Magetta is fighting against Toppo again. He's doing alright, and the two are matching blow for blow. Cabba comes to help Magetta, goes SSJ and attacks Toppo causing him some serious issues as the two begin to overpower Toppo. Jiren finally uncrosses his arms, and appears behind Magetta. A single sweat bead appears on the metaman's head as he glances behind. With one mighty punch Jiren launches Magetta off the stage, eliminating him.
Hit finishes off the opponent he's facing and looks on in surprise. Jiren appears behind Cabba next. Cabba looks terrified. Jiren launches his punch. This is the final blow...
Botamo has replaced him. Jiren's punch causes the bears body to contort with sheer pressure, but is nullified. Botamo claims he'll get revenge for Magetta, as Hit watches on. He analyses Jiren's punches upon Botamo, as he tells Cabba to just survive for now. Botamo's punches aren't affecting Jiren either, it's a stale mate. Hit appears behind Jiren using times skip and is about to try attacking him from behind. His fist doesn't connect; Jiren's now behind him WITH Botamo raised above his head. Jiren slams Botamo into Hit with enough force to cause Hit to speed towards the edge of the ring, but manages to slow himself down to not get rang out.
"OIIII! BOTAMO! DON'T YOU DARE SEND HIT OUT!" Champa screams at the helpless bear. Botamo opens his mouth to shoot some ki blast bullets but as he does so Jiren fires a blast into his mouth, sending him flying in the same manner he did for Kale prior. Hit attempts to save him with time skip, but Jiren has already blocked off Hit's path. Botamo is out. The two land and glare at one another. Hit removes his hands from his pockets, Jiren uncrosses his arms.
Jiren is suddenly in Hit's face. Hit takes a step back in surprise. He's faster than the Time Skip can activate. Jiren goes in for a punch. The timeskip activates in the nick of time. Regaining his composure, Hit proceeds to smash pressure points on Jiren's arms with such force that his arm dislocates and becomes worthless. Jiren holds the arm, only mild surprise on his face. Suddenly his other arm goes limp. Hit appears behind him, and takes his legs out too. Jiren crumples to the ground. Hit closes his eyes as he feels relief.
Toppo launches himself at Hit as Dypso see's to Jiren. Dypso's about to reattach his limbs, but Jiren's muscles push his limbs back into place without the sonic warriors help. Jiren stands up and brushes himself off. Toppo has Hit pushed back, but he can't quite get the advantage. With Jiren and Dypso now also approaching Hit, things look bad.
Suddenly Goku flies in and attacks Toppo "FIGHT ME TOPPO!" he exclaims, as Toppo is sent reeling and the saiyan warrior from Universe 7 charges after him. "YOU'RE NEXT JIREN! YOU TOO HIT!" he cries back. Dypso looks shocked at the turn of events but faces back to Hit. Hit is already upon him. Time Skip. He launches several attacks at Dypso, as two on one would put him as a distinct disadvantage. Jiren's arm goes limp again. He had moved his arm in front of Dypso prior to timeskip fully activating.
"Go Dypso." Jiren commands. Dypso doesn't need a second telling and runs off to track down Cabba. Hit goes to go after him, but Jiren, now with both arms working fine again, has a hand firmly on his shoulder preventing him from moving forward even in Time Skip. "You're not going anywhere." he warns Hit, before shooting a knee drop into Hit's back, whilst firmly grabbing him by the shoulder still. Hit gasps in pain, but suddenly Jiren's fingers seem to explode and Hit gets free.
In the stands Champa, Botamo and Magetta are shocked there's someone strong enough to harm Hit in such a way, but at least Hit managed to shatter Jiren's fingers to escape. Jiren fires a blast towards Hit, which Hit avoids with his timeskip again. But Jiren has predicted this and is already on top of him within the timeskip world. Hit's eyes widen as he fires a volley of punches dislocating every single limb of Jiren's and even aiming a few for the neck. Jiren collapses, seemingly with his neck snapped.
Champa screams at Hit not to kill Jiren since he can't be disqualified until he also takes out Goku. Vados sighs, suggesting Hit may have been pushed too far.
"Surely now..." Hit mutters. "I'll take the disqualification...Frost and the Saiyans can clean up what's left..." Vermound's eyes glint. It's far from over. Jiren pops his legs back into place. He kicks his arm back into it's socket and then readjusts his other arm into socket. Finally he puts his neck back right. "What kind of monster are you?"
"I'm justice." Jiren responds as he sprints towards Hit. Hit goes to defend, but Jiren is already behind him again. Hit tries to activate his time skip but he's already taken some serious damage. He's currently upside down in mid air with Jiren's ridiculously oversized arms wrapped around him, ready to piledrive him into the tournament stage. Hit can't get the leverage with his legs. He breathes in, and smashes his skull repeatedly into Jiren. That's right, Hit just pressure pointed a guy with his HEAD. Timeskip deactivates, and Hit is slammed into the stage with such force that he is smashed clean through and thrown into the abyss. Hit is out. Jiren stands there, neck seemingly broken again. He readjusts his neck and skull and pops it back into place before spitting up a mouthful of blood. "...he just tried to kill me for sure there...damn hitman."
Hit appears in the box next to Champa, who is flipping out. He's dead. They're all dead. Hit's out, what the HELL is Cabba, Caulifla, Kale and Frost going to do? Botamo asks if Hit thinks anyone is capable of taking down that monster. Hit closes his eyes "Who knows. For now we're not out."
"That's right maybe Cabba will pull a win..." Botamo responds looking a little helpful. "...somehow..." he adds looking terrified. Magetta tries to comfort Champa in the background as he slams his face into Magetta's body in sheer anguish.

Re: How Would Your Ideal Hit Vs. Jiren Fight Go?
The Wikia for Jiren seems to suggest that at this point his ability is some sort of advanced movement technique. That would make sense and explain how he was able to move behind Goku without Goku even noticing. So the prediction thing is far-fetched unfortunately but it'd be a pretty insane ability to have. I love Hit and his Time-Skip for that same reason is because it's a crazy cool ability to give to a character. Hit is one of the best things about DBS.Dylanrockin wrote:That would actually be pretty boss. I'd be down to see something like that - truth be told. It'd make for a unique ability for Jiren, and I really do hope those two go at it, just for an episode or so.KingKaash wrote:It's kinda hard to create an ideal fight because we don't really know what Jiren can do other than him being really powerful. If Jiren can see like 1 second into the future like Hit could Time-Skip 1 second then that would make for a really crazy fight.
If this were manga logic, then Jiren would easily be able to dominate Hit, since his power is clearly much greater than Hit's - thus neutralizing the Time Skip entirely. But, yeah I imagine that being equally cool of an idea. Just have Jiren show what he can do without having to power up, too much, then have Hit on his last legs, like he was in the Champa Arc, then have him take the offensive and make some decent ground. That is until Jiren actually starts putting in effort and then who knows what happens from there.KingKaash wrote: Honestly we know that if these guys faced off, Hit's Time-Skip will somehow be neutralized by Jiren. So once that happens I want Jiren to start pounding Hit. But every time Jiren gives what he thinks is the final blow, Hit gets back up somehow and keeps going for his Universe. Everyone admires Hit's preserverance. Then Hit powers up all the way and they start giving vital body blow after blow and it looks like Hit has matched Jiren and they're both about to go down from this brutal battle. Kind of like a boxing match. This causes Jiren to get mad and all of sudden he powers up to show that he has more left in the tank and gives Hit one final crushing blow that sends Hit off the arena and eliminates him.
And yea I feel like this would be a classic DB-themed battle between 2 heavyweights. The Hitman actually getting beat around only for him to keep getting back up like a boxer who won't stay down for the count. As for Jiren, he has to be challenged by someone not named Goku or I'll be very sad. Hit at maximum power has to cause some sort of difficulty for Jiren I'd hope. And I hope body armor/spandex is broken/torn in a fight between these two and blood would really make this fight interesting. I don't mention bruises because that has to happen

I know how you feel Gohan, you are gentle, you do not like to hurt. I know because I too have learned these feelings. But it is because you cherish life that you must protect it. Tbh, while I'd like for that too, I doubt it. They made him a Grey, and he seems to just stand somewhere in the arena even though he should be trying to eliminate people. He comes off as morally grey or neutral to everything despite being one of the Pride Troopers. Either that or he's incredibly arrogant. He probably doesn't even socialize with most of the team outside of maybe Toppo. They probably don't even call him up that often to fight with them unless he's the only one who can deal with it I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see for when he gets more than just 40 seconds of screen time. So far the only stoic in DB I even care about at the moment is Hitto. I'd care more about the others (Piccolo, Vegeta, Tenshinhan) but I have some issues with each of them as of late.

Do you want to bet? There is no way in hell Gohan will be in the final 4. No way. The final four will be Jiren, Goku, Vegeta, and the last one will be between Hitto and Frieza. Do you really believe that they would put 3 saiyajins in the final four? That would mean Jiren would have to fight Goku, Vegeta and Gohan. You need to be an absolute hardcore saiyajin fanboy to believe that.Asura wrote:Yes. That would mean Jiren would have to fight Goku, Vegeta and Gohan. You need to be an absolute hardcore saiyajin fanboy to believe that.Asura wrote:Yes. Gohan has been hyped up like never before. This isn't just a "oh look a twenty second clip of Gohan training with Piccolo TOEI is totally hyping him up now!" like we've seen before in Super. This shit is full on "here are episodes dedicated to you" and "here's an ending literally dedicated to you" and "here's dialogue completely out of the blue suggesting over and over that you're going to be important" and "here's an important leadership role dedicated to you" and "here's your transformation back" and "here's more foreshadowing towards a new transformation" and well I can go on and on.
They're not even being subtle about it, you're going to take your daily dose of Gohan and you're gonna enjoy it. Or don't, either way he's going to be one of the last two out. Or he might just win it all. I'd actually be kind of annoyed if the latter happened and I'm a big Gohan fan but the way they've been hyping him up anything is possible.
Vegeta is going to job. He could get knocked out early. Or he might last a while. Even if he makes it down to the final five he'll be the first to go. He's barely gotten screentime this arc and it seems like his character is regressing back to a cocky idiot. Wouldn't be surprised if all of that is being set up just for an easy knockout.
I can see the final three being Goku, Gohan, and Jiren but I'm not gonna make any bets on that one. I said final 3 before but what I meant was the final three out, so technically final 4 or final 5 is what I meant if we include the winner.
Re: How Would Your Ideal Hit Vs. Jiren Fight Go?
1)Krillin had episodes dedicated to him and unlike Gohan he actually won a match in one of those, futhemore Goku was begging him to join and was making a big deal of his fighting skills, sure that means he will last long enou- oh wait he was the first to go.Asura wrote:Sure I'd be more than happy to bet on it. 2)You must be blind if you think the ending was dedicated to Gohan and not Goku,Gohan had like what 3-4 more seconds than the other U7 members?
3)Again Krillin, also thats not a first, back in the rof arc we had Tagoma,Frieza and Ginyu making such a big deal about Gohan(before even seeing him fight or power up),heck Gohan even hijacked Piccolo's recruitment in the U6 arc,its not the first time Toei is doing that.
4)How is the leadership important? The person who made him leader was the first to ignore him along with half of the team.
5)Of course he would get his transformation back,he needed it and in a tournament of that scale, there is no way the writers would not let Gohan be at his best.
6)No foreshadowing there,he even said he would not go the same way Goku did and he will simply become strong in his Ultimate form.Besides even if he gets a new transformation,he won't get it in this arc since the focus is all on Goku.
As for Vegeta, again Krillin, screentime means nothing,of course he is gonna job thats his role but he is the deuteragonist of super. He is also the 2nd strongest of the U7 team.
It also depens on what you define as important.
Will Gohan have a bigger role than the humans and Piccolo?Sure that much is obvious. Will have a bigger role than Goku,Frieza,Vegeta?Yeah nope.
They could surprise us with Vegeta going out sooner, the usual pride before the fall thing but other than that?Goku and Vegeta have the most k.os while Gohan is an afterthought in the tournament so far,if he was as important as you make him out to be then surely he would get at the least even half the screentime Goku and Vegeta are getting?
There is also the heroes trailer(the heroes trailers btw have foreshadowed importance and events a lot of times before,we even saw Merged Zamasu there before even summaries mentioned of them fusing and the heroes trailers have been more credible than the endings so far)where Gohan is nowhere to be found, only Jirren,Goku and Golden Frieza.

Alright the bet is on. About what you said "Whatever" already said everything i think, therefore, there is no need to reply to your points.Asura wrote:Sure I'd be more than happy to bet on it. I think the problem is that TOEI has a bad habit of hyping up characters only for it to mean absolutely nothing. Gohan could very well last to the end or he could be eliminated half way through.

I find funny how some Vegeta fanboys are desperate to see Hitto getting stomped by Jiren. What do you think Jiren is going to do to Vegeta? Lose?JulieYBM wrote:Tate Naoki and Oonishi Ryou delicately animating Hit's movements as he tries to hit Jiren with his Time Skip, only for each jab to not land, leading to JIren to deliver a massive, single punch to the gut that knocks Hit out.
Without knowing Jiren's special abilities it's pretty hard to write a fight for him. I like the idea of Jiren being able to see one or two seconds ahead into the future. If he could use that to defeat Hit it would put Gokuu in an even bigger pinch!
First, we saw thread after thread saying that he wouldn't be able to use his time skip ability, but that was already disproved, now, they want to see him knocked the fuck out with a single hit. That is not going to happen either. Toshio already said Hitto is having great fights.
And why they should? Hit will get LOLstomped by Vegeta so there's no need to rely on Jiren.

Maybe because, Hitto crushed Vegeta like a bug in the past.Mercenary wrote:Shinda Forever wrote:We know that Hitto never missed a target except Goku.Hellspawn28 wrote:It would be kinda interesting if the two had some type of backstory with each other.
