So yeah, I still think a side story series can work for DB.
They didn't learn anything, but that's not what constitutes a story. A story needs conflict. That's the driving force of a story. At most, stuff like the driving episode is worth is a short. There's no real conflict and there are no stakes.
A guy trying to find a hardware story after midnight in NYC isn't a story.

The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Ok, but how is any of this evidence that there can't be conflict in a DB series about "slice of life"?
You're only backing up my own opinion to begin with. You don't need fighting for conflict in a story.

You love writing that, don't you? Not sure how you figure that in this example but whatever.
You don't need fighting for conflict in a story.
You don't need fighting, but trying to get a driver's license isn't a story in DB.

Aslong as it's in character to the spirit of the characters, I see no harm.
I don't think anyone here is asking for the Teen Titans Go equivalent of DB, at least I'm not.

You're reaching again, Super has plenty of good slice of life. I don't even think the driving episode in DBZ is that bad per say, but how is that episode existing translate to all slice of life episodes will have no story?

They should have an entire episode dedicated to everyone having a farting contest.

It's the classic example. Given the nature of the characters, what are the goals and what are the stakes? In the driving episode, if Goku doesn't get the license, nothing happens. He can fly. He and his family aren't in any danger of not being able to feed themselves. The most I can see out of any of this is a few amusing webisodes and shorts, but not a whole series of slice of life stuff.

So do you like the driving episode or not? Do you think Seinfeld has stories or not? I don't get your argument anymore.
How is any of this evidence this series can't work?
Again, I recommend checking out some episodes of Super.
The Buu arc could of ended multiple times had characters not made dumb choices because of Toriyama's writing, it all comes down to execution.

Seinfeld did tell stories and I do not like the DBZ driving episode. May you were unclear about my point, but it's never changed.
The characters in DB want to fight and they are so powerful that every day existence isn't a big challenge. The very nature of the characters doesn't lend itself to situations where there are any stakes from slice of life dilemmas. What happens if Goku and Piccolo don't get their licenses? Nothing. Neither wanted them nor needed them. What sort of scenarios do you think such a series would consist of?

There can be episodes about fighting here and there, like Beerus/Freeza stuff etc.
As for slice of life, there's tons you can do, even Toriyama came up with tons of ideas for DB online.
Super has many examples too, Pan went missing in one episode and the conflict focused on Goku being worried about his granddaughter etc.
It can work with enough creativity.

No. I found RoF boring and nothing anyone has told me making me want to watch 100+ episodes or even 1 episode of it.

Your loss then.
Anyway, I would find bringing Buu's wife into a slice of life series a hilarious idea, more hijinks with Satan too.

Why don't you look up that one episode?

I'd rather get a one sentence synopsis. I don't know what episode it is and it feels like I'd spend more time looking for it than if someone gave me a short description of the episode so I could know what it's about.

We could even have an episode where the bus have their own version of sex.

Finally!
Bulma and her sis and possibly Jaco going on a little adventure would be fun to watch, hell bring Yamcha along too.

The abuse of jack could turn into sexual tension between the briefs and Yamcha would be cucked by both of them...poor poor Yamcha...

I`m continually fascinated by some of the Fandom`s obessesion with the cucked.
I wonder
My 2.0, it`s exactly because of the nature of the characters and how powerful they are compared to the rest of the planet, how outwordly all of them are at this point that slice of life for the simple things present themselves a challenge. Goku never had to make money in his entire life so it`s a challenge for him to adhere to that sort of frame. Tenshinhan was someone who grew up respecting his senseis and trying to be the perfect student so it`s a challenge for him to adhere to the new frame in being the sensei now.
Characters need slice of life and conflit can translate in the smallest details and routines they aren`t use to, in order to fit in among Earthlings.
