Will Blooma die during/after ToP?
Re: Will Blooma die during/after ToP?
In newest Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card anime, they removed one of minor characters, Rika, by having her go to differnet school, probably because her VA sadly passed away in 2011 https://image.ibb.co/ehDx4w/vlcsnap_201 ... 46s755.jpg CLAMP also removed her from manga, to avoid controversy, since she was 10 years old, and had crush on teacher. But manga and anime are much different, so they didnt have to remove her.

Re: Will Blooma die during/after ToP?
I just remembered yet another thing:
When they did Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return ten years ago, Tenshinhan wasn't in it out of respect for his voice actor who just passed away. However, he WAS in the Manga, and he would eventually be recast.
Worst case scenario for DBS: They write out Bulma and her kids, but keep them in the Manga.

They could just show Bulma and not have her speak.

Anything short of suggesting to recast her wouldn't make sense, in my opinion. How can you have her there and not give her any speaking parts? That's ridiculous. And how can you write her out of the series? She's one of the staples of DB. Although that option seems less insane than killing her off.
Let's think about this for a second -- it's Dragon Ball. They have these things that magically reincarnate whomever they want. What would be the in-universe explanation for allowing Bulma to stay dead? Even to kill her off, they'd need some sort of dialog from her, so they'd end up recasting her anyway. She's too big of a character to be killed silently and then have no explanation from her as to why she'd choose to stay dead, because in Dragon Ball, the only explanation for not bringing someone back is because they don't want to be brought back, which... is insane in this case.
So, the only two logical things that can happen are that she gets recast, or she's just not shown anymore, which would be horrible. To me, the most logical thing would be to recast her and create a beautiful episode dedicated to Bulma with a nice montage at the end chronicling her characters from Dragon Ball, through Z, and through Super with a lovely picture of her voice actress. I don't think that it's disrespectful to recast someone who had died. What I think is disrespectful is killing of their character. I think that's worse than anything else, especially since because the voice actor/actress is no longer there, that death would have to basically be silent and out of nowhere. I haven't seen how they might do it in other works, but I can imagine that I'd find that to be morbid and sad.

There's a pretty big difference between Tien not showing up in one special and Bulma being written out altogether. Tien's the kind of character that tends to run off on his own for extended periods of time. He wasn't even hanging around for most of the Buu Arc, for example. Bulma has been the most prominent non-combatant character since the series' first episode. There's absolutely no way they're going to write her out or have her die.
