Budokai 3 Confirmation

For me I guess it took something like 10-15 minutes to get it to change from 99% to 100%, I guess I was lucky.

And I would say calling us cheaters is a bit harsh, I would like to call it being a opportunist.

I cheat whenever I have need to. With B2 playing DW was annoying so I cheated. In Robotech, losing a level because the idot I was defending kept getting blown up was annoying, so I cheated. Playing GTA:VC in a tank is to much fun to pass up, so I cheated.

Playing DW that many times is highly annoying. I think it't be a good idea for Budokai 3 to be just devoted to Dragonball or GT, or maybe encompass all 3 series. But then so many good characters would end up getting left out.

The Great Character List!!!!! The Return of DBZ-like Titles!!!!!!

Alright, we'll try and establish a list of who might be in B3. We'll assume that it will be made off the movies as the earlier image suggests. I doubt they'll take out to many (or any) of the B2 chars... I hope not. I also highly dobut that the game will have anyone from beyond movie 8. Oh, and fusions (marked with a *) are picked from the select list, and fuse as the intro sequence! So, anyway, here's my B3 character wish list! Feel free to add!

Hmm... not sure if anyone mentioned this...

Maybe Budokai 3 will be some kind of port of DragonBall Z 2 V... ? I mean, if they're gonna do another full-on Budokai game, I would assume they'd go with DBGT, while it's still HALFWAY popular (it IS the one that's on TV, right now).

Speaking of which, how many eps of GT have they shown in the states? Season 1 on YTV consisted of eps 1 to the first ep with Bebi (where he kills Dr Myuu)

Cartoon Network skipped the first 16 eps and is currently at the beginning of the Bebi arc, when he's possessing people.

Figures Cartoon Network would do the same as Funi with the first few episodes. Apparently they feel Americans just can't watch something that doesn't have action going on every 2 minutes. If were you guys, I'd be insulted.

That's one of the kind of edits to DBZ too, points of low action are cut. Not sure why they go to all that trouble, just to edit the action anyway.

No worries for us Canadians; when the GT dub aired here it began from episode 1. But for some reason the episode quality is really bad, like a fan sub with the color extremly distorted.

You know, I remember FUNimation saying that DBGT wouldn't air on CN until 2004, and it would start from Episode 1 when it did. Guess they scrapped that.

A DBGT Budoukai would probably be a lot more profitable than a DBZ one, or certainly a DB one, but it doesn't seem like there'd be as many characters in it. Though, I've only seen about a quarter of that series so far. Not once have I seen Kame House...

No one's mentioned that yet, but if you look at the ad really closely the shown characters (Coola and Goku) don't look much (if any) different than they do in Z2 V. But if that's the case, are people really going to buy the same exact game with just a few new chracters, and call it number 3?

Then again people buy expansion packs for games, which sometimes only gets you a few new missions/levels. But you're right I don't think it'd work for a PS2 fighting game.

Yeah, I seriously doubt it's Z2 and just being called Z3, in a Japanese magazine no less. Atari isn't that greedy, or stupid. Now, maybe they'd put out a B2.5 but that's about it. I can't wait until E3 so I can find out more about this thing... hopefully it makes the same kind of improvent over B2 that B2 did over B1.
