Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

God, don't remind me of that. First time the TV series ever gets dubbed and it's only the THIRD season, none of the others. Yeah that makes sense, never start from the current season or god forbid the beginning.

Post-God Goku yes. Pre-God Goku not so much. Fighting hard and unrestrained was his nature.
I don't think you understand what wild actually means. Apparently hunting is now considered wild. In the Tenkaichi Budokai, he holds back a whole hell of a lot. Is Vegeta wild? He doesn't hold back either. Unrestrained does not equal wild.
Hunting is "wild" if you're fighting and killing wild animals with your bare hands, yes. And then eating wild animals like a wild animal.

Maybe "wild" isn't the best term. Ferocious, brutal, savage, rugged maybe? Vegeta is ferocious as well.

The tournaments have rules and regulations. Goku is forced to adapt and go against his nature while fighting. Even so, his true nature still shines through at times, particularly when facing difficult opponents like Jackie Chun, Tenshinhan, and Ma Junior.
Then any warrior in the series is wild. Goku doesn't actually want to hurt anyone. He only intends to hurt those that are either trying to hurt him, those he cares about, or innocent people. You've picked the wrong adjectives. Any one of these could fit every warrior in the story. Give specific examples. And what would a non-wild person do if they were attacked? None of the words you've used would be adjectives any casting director should use when casting Goku. Okay, maybe rugged, but that's about it.

He hunts using his bare hands because he's stronger than any weapon.

Kara is good as Goten because he's much younger than Goku when we first meet him.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Right, but I honestly think she'd be good as Gokū as Nozawa tends to play him a bit younger than 12.
