The game does need more DB characters. Pilaf is an important character in the DB series. It seems that there are two forms of the Pilaf Machine, which equals two characters. 4 revealed, 2 to go.The Tori-bot wrote:It's the Pilaf robot...
Hey, wait a sec, the Pilaf robot?!
C'mon... is that the best they could do? Couldn't they have put in something more worthwhike than that?
Oh, look, the Pilaf robot. How cool. >.>;

Well, hey, if they try adding Piccolo Daimao and Commander Black's mecha suit, we could have a full on original DB story mode.Deus ex Machina wrote:![]()
I have to admit, of all the possible characters they could've added, even from DragonBall alone, I would never have guessed the Pilaf mech suit. Seriously, what is Spike on?
The Emperor's Quest:
A Destiny Begins - Kid Goku Vs. Grandpa Gohan
Ending and Beginning - Grandpa Gohan Vs. Great Ape
*Story mode cut-scene where Goku meets Bulma and they begin their journey*
Earning the Nimbus - Kid Goku Vs. Master Roshi
The Mighty Desert Bandit - Kid Goku Vs. Yamcha
Rematch Against the Wolf Fang - Kid Goku Vs. Yamcha
Showdown For the Dragonballs - Kid Goku and Yamcha Vs. Pilaf's Mecha-Suit
The Legend of Goku - Great Ape Vs. Pilaf's Mecha-Suit
Goku's First Tournament:
Training on Kame Island - Kid Goku Vs. Master Roshi
First Round - Jackie Chun (Master Roshi's alternate skin) Vs. Yamcha
The Ultimate Lesson - Kid Goku Vs. Jackie Chun (Master Roshi's alternate skin)
Giant Monkey Problems - Jackie Chun (Master Roshi's alternate skin) Vs. Great Ape
Equal Strike - Jackie Chun (Master Roshi's alternate skin) Vs. Kid Goku
Tyranny of the Red Ribbon Army -
The Killer Assassin - Kid Goku Vs. General Tao
Sacred Water Reinforced - Kid Goku Vs. General Tao
Final Encounter at Red Ribbon Base - Kid Goku Vs. Commander Black's Mecha-Suit
Fortune Teller Baba's Tourney -
A Familiar Scent - Kid Goku Vs. Grandpa Gohan
*An added story mode battle of sports*
Pupil Teaching the Mentor - Grandpa Gohan Vs. Master Roshi
Last Ball - Kid Goku Vs. Pilaf's Mecha-Suit
A New Tournament -
*Story mode beginning with a filler incident where Goku encounters Tien and Chaozu before the tournament, but doesn't learn their names*
Battle For Inoshikachu's Freedom - Kid Goku Vs. Tien and Chaozu
The 22nd World Tournament - Tien Vs. Yamcha
Passing the Torch - Tien Vs. Jackie Chun (Master Roshi's alternate skin)
Turtle and Crane Showdown - Kid Goku Vs. Tien
Terror of King Piccolo -
*Story mode cut-scene of Goku finding Krillin dead (using just his legs like Toma in the Bardock mode) and then running off for revenge*
Mistaken Identity - Kid Goku Vs. Yajirobe
Meeting Pure Evil - Kid Goku Vs. Old King Piccolo (King Piccolo's alternate skin)
Battle of the Elders - Master Roshi and Chaozu Vs. Old King Piccolo (King Piccolo's alternate skin)
Goku's Ultra Divine Goal - Kid Goku and Yajirobe Vs. Master Roshi
Tien's Atonement - Tien Vs. King Piccolo
An All New Goku - Kid Goku and Tien Vs. King Piccolo
A Great Hero of his Time - Kid Goku Vs. King Piccolo
Ambitions of Piccolo Jr.
Preliminaries - Chaozu Vs. General Tao
Krillin's Titanic Encounter - Piccolo Vs. Krillin
Past Demons - Tien Vs. General Tao
Goku and Tien Round 2 - Goku Vs. Tien
A Ghost From the Past - Goku Vs. Piccolo
*An awesome ending cut-scene of Piccolo torturing Goku, only for Goku to master flight and come out with the win with a dramatic headbutt*
As you can see, I clearly used dub names, mainly because that's how characters such as Kuririn, Piccolo Daimao, and Tao Pai Pai are represented in the video games released in North American, so that's how I spelled them for this example.

The....Pilaf....Robot?
Does anyone have any idea what Spike is telling us? They have time to make new models! I mean, the henchmen were technically IN the game, so it shouldn't have been to hard to create them as a character, right? All right you bastards, give us 6 shitty, "technically already in the game" characters. I can live with that. But you repay us with the next Sparking game.
Well, now the unicorning Pilaf Robot is in the game. With the amout of time they used to make that model, they could have made a quick Piccolo Daimao model. Hell, they could have just replaced the eyes and some coloes on the original Piccolo for all I care! But we get this garbage...wow...just wow.
If I don't see some GT Kid Goku, GT Goten and Piccolo Daimao action in some scans VERY soon, I'm gonna piss a cactus.

Go Pilaf robot, oh yeah, oh yeah! And Conan, I love your story stuff, if they really add Piccolo Daimao and Commander Black and the DB saga, I am so buying PS2's greatest hits.

Hey, Conan, I think after Tyranny of the Red Ribbon Army, if they should make a teen Goku, then it would fit, they will make it have the power to use the fist he used on King Piccolo and the 8-arm attack. With Shu's ninja suit as a alternative costume!

Just to be an ass and correct you Conan I think it's safe to say the "dead Saiyan" in the Bardock cutscene is actually Nappa. They just don't reveal the rest of him. I do hope we get to see Toma and another of Bardock's crew (please let it be Seripa) in the next game. The pilaf robot is pretty cool... here's hoping we see more Dragonball characters in Sparking 3.Conan the SSJ wrote:I suppose it would be worth noting, we do see Toma's legs with yellow armor in one of the Bardock story cut-scenes, so maybe they had a design planned for him from the get-go as well.
P.S. To be an ass again I gotta correct the man, Vegetto EX, that the blue horned soldier isin't the same guy that Freeza "impales" on Earth. This soldier appears at least twice. Once in the Bardock Special when Freeza appears out of his ship, he's one of the guys holding Bardock. Second, he attacks Bulma, Gohan and Kuririn's ship when they arrive on Namek along with another alien soldier armed with a blaster.
Henchmen who get's executed by Freeza for "deraliction of duty".
The guy on the right is our man in Sparking NEO.

Theres lots of cool, "hardly in the series" characters that could be fun to have in the game.
Oh and I second the vote on The Farmer.
Also sucks that we in the US of A don't get the Neko Majin Z characters.

No matter who they pick to be playable fighters in these games, some people are gonna be left out. I just think its really anoying when people complain that certain people arent in the game when theres well over 100 Fighters! You can't just be happy?
Ok, Iam gonna sound really old but... back in my day, we were lucky to get 10 fighters. 10 fucking fighters! I'd play those games over these Budokai games. Not to say these games today suck, but I love the classic fighting game set up. 2-d, one on one "Street Fighter" type. No effin capsules. No freakin crazy controlls.
With that said though, a shit load of time and effort does go into these newer game. They are beautifull and deeper then any 90's Dragonball game could ever be. Just apreciate what they give you. Its not that bad.
