Thanks for the feedback! I did intend for the fourth episode to be a little more challenging than the others so far (hence the episode title) but might have overtuned the difficulty a bit for that Mini Vegeta part. Ah, well.
I finally had some free time this week to hop back online and give your "Child vs. Child?!" battle a go, but unfortunately ran into a couple of major game-breaking bugs:
Spoiler:
It took me exactly five attempts to get the victory cutscene because whenever I got to the very end of the fight, Goku would be stuck in an infinite loop with his Ultimate Blast. Even when I finally succeeded, it still didn't play out as I suspect it should have since it was Vegeta that finished off Mini Cell without Goku switching in. Also, I couldn't trigger the defeat cutscene at all; I realize this isn't supposed to happen until Goku and Vegeta are Super Saiyan, but even when I lost with them, they would just fall to the ground and be stuck there without the fight ever ending.
Still, I enjoyed it a lot and loved your cinematic auto-moves! Will keep some of those tricks in mind for future episodes.
^ Oh, that's a bummer for the loop, it's supposed to be a surefire automove!
I even thought it was actually secure since I had one time when the finishing move actually missed and Goku immediately repeated it to properly hit the target this time. So I thought "oh, good, even if it misses for unlikely reasons, he will do it again and hit properly thanks to the "infinite times" setting!"
Guess it's really sort of a demo of developpers' jobs: even when you playtest it several times and think it's all fine and ready to go, it still takes external players to actually uncover some glitches!
Strange glitch for the lack of defeat as well! Just being there lying on the ground permanently... There are still things to solve programming-wise for the devs, it seems!
The most played episode I've posted yet in just a few hours, with already likes and favorites!
An unexpected but nice surprise!
DIVINE KI: THE TRUTH (ID on PS5 : 1-107-602-616)
While Goku and Vegeta are training to fight Black Freeza, Whis has an idea: he materializes an illusion of a special landscape (the First Demon Realm arena) forbidding the use of divine ki (and therefore God forms).
Vegeta immediately reveals to a surprised Goku that he can turn Super Saiyan 3 if needed now, and after a battle with both warriors on the third level, Goku is pushed to see if he can now unleash a form that would be beyond Super Saiyan 3 while not tapping into God forms. However, Whis still has one more surprise up his sleeve to disturb the fight and force the Saiyans to face unexpected situation.
Includes:
- intro cutscene
- multiple mid-fight cutscenes
- automated mid-fight moves or finish moves for maximum entertainment
- victory cutscene
- defeat cutscene
FULL GAMEPLAY SPOILERS
Spoiler:
BATTLE OF THE SUPER SAIYAN 3 WARRIORS
- The fight begins with an automated Blast 1 for both fighters.
- When Vegeta is reduced to 30% of his health, he will automatically defeat you with a 999% Blast 2 impressive combo.
- You cannot fail this part, as you will always have at least 1HP until Vegeta automatically knocks you out.
SS4 GOKU VS SS3 VEGETA
- The fight begins with an automated Blast 2 from you (Goku).
- When Vegeta is again reduced to 30% of his health, a cutscene will trigger the next fight.
- You cannot be defeated, but the more damage you take, the more trouble you'll have later as both warrior will come back later with only partial healing. So this is a battle to see who gains the upper hand health-wise for the final fight.
SS4 MINI GOKU VS SS3 MINI VEGETA
- Both warriors unleash their Blast 2 automatically at the beginning.
- Whoever empties the health of his opponent is the one to unleash his impressive Ultimate Blast to finish him off, prompting the adult opponent to reappear and swiftly end his kid opponent too with a quick 999% Blast 1.
- This means the outcome is the same no matter who wins here: both kids versions are knocked out to make way for the return of the adult versions for the final battle.
- On very specific circumstances, a striking advantage or disadvantage can occur in which the kid version is replaced with the adult version before the automated Ultimate Blast deals them a good amount of damage.
FINAL BATTLE
- Both warriors may start with varying amount of health depending on how well they did in their previous "Adult SS4 VS Adult SS3" battle, since they both have a limited amount of health regeneration, so the less health they had when they were turned into kids, the less health they'll have when this final fight starts.
- Whoever gets to empty the opponent's health will finish him off with his Ultimate Blast.
- The ending cutscene depends on who wins.
FULL STORY SPOILERS:
Spoiler:
While Goku and Vegeta keep training with Whis to be able to stand up to Freeza (or more specifically Black Freeza), the angel says he has an idea and creates the illusion of a new, demonic environment, stating there's no tapping into divine ki from now on, locking out the God forms. Vegeta is unphased and promptly turns into a Super Saiyan 3, much to Goku's surprise since he never saw him doing that and therefore was not aware that he even could access it if he wanted to. Goku turns Super Saiyan 3 as well and the two launch into battle, taunting each other as usual.
Quickly, while both are exhausted, Goku is forced to admit that he must tap into some greater power to take the upper hand. He decides to try and push further than Super Saiyan 3 with his regular energy (since divine energy is a no-no), hoping that with the incredible progress he has made in the last few years, there's now something beyond the third level that can make the difference. Vegeta is quite shock to see him transform into a new form, and Goku seeing that he has reach a new form says it might be some "Super Saiyan 4". Since it doesn't tap into God power, Vegeta quickly remarks to himself that this is not on par with Super Saiyan God but that it's still some new form of power that he should be careful about in this non-divine context, choosing to go all-out.
While the battle is raging, Whis remembers that he also had another plan to disturb the warriors and test their sense of adaptation in unexpected situations. His magic turns both Saiyans into kid versions of themselves. Needless to say they are surprised, but it's all according to plan for Whis who likes to make things more complicated for them. Goku, as careless as ever, finds the idea fun and is ready to go, so Vegeta says he's ready for him.
After a while, Whis gives them their adult bodies back in the midst of the battle without warning, saying it's over to go easy and they can go full power again, and the warriors keep going at it without any break, managing to keep focused on the battle despite the sudden change (this means no cutscene, the adult bodies just pop back while Whis' line is shown in-game while the player keeps fighting).
IF GOKU (THE PLAYER) WINS:
Vegeta is defeated and Goku slowly flies back down and smiles saying it's over but that he was still impressed by Vegeta who was not bad at all. He says he's glad to be able to battle someone as exceptional as him and that he's excited at the prospect that they can take turns surpassing each other again and again. While Vegeta admits Goku has won this specific battle, he is quick to point out that it doesn't change anything in the grand scheme of things: this new form he has just unlocked will be of no use in their upcoming battle since any God form such as Super Saiyan God already surpasses it. This is the irony of the situation: on that day, Goku unlocked a new transformation that just came up too late, as Whis confirms that had Vegeta fought with Super Saiyan God, he would have easily won. This is a bit like the irony of Avo and Cado which could have been an epic threat but just arrived too late in the timeline to be anything of much importance. It's also a little tongue-in-cheek twist on how new forms are supposed to be game-changing in Dragon Ball, but for this story, the new transformation discovered wouldn't be of much use and came up too late!
IF VEGETA (THE AI) WINS:
While Goku is kneeling on the ground despite his new form, Vegeta says that this "Super Saiyan 4" is quite underwhelming in the end. Whis says it isn't all that surprising: Goku has no mastery of this brand new transformation. Plus, he specifies that this transformation wouldn't be that good anyway at this point: it is inferior to Super Saiyan God, and therefore inferior to Super Saiyan Blue, and needless to say that Goku would have won without even a fight with something as supreme as Ultra Instinct in normal circumstances. Whis then states the lesson of the day: nothing even remotely compares to divine Ki, and godly technics are the assets they must focus on to gain more power for future battles. He therefore proposes to go back to the usual training now.
To go with my latest episode posted above, here's a recap of my various custom episodes, in order of most played at the time of posting.

All of them include at least an intro, mid-fight cutscenes, a victory cutscene and a defeat cutscene.
Most of them include music from the various anime series.

That's right, it's the second and final half of Dragon Ball Super: Demon Realm Arc! See this post for Part 1.
These episodes are more challenging than most of the previous episodes in this series, mainly because I wanted to give the arc some semblance of a difficulty curve as it progresses toward the end. Episodes 6 and 7 are pretty simple and straightforward, but even those start to have a little more bite from the AI than before, and the spice level only increases from there. I tried to make them as fair as possible, and I honestly don't think they'll take too many attempts to beat, but players need to at least have a decent grasp of the mechanics to win. Mashing square will not cut it.
As with most previous episodes, there are defeat endings in these as well though they're pretty short. If you already cleared the episode during the first attempt, you're not really missing out on any big alternate scenes.
Episode 06: "Majin Kuu vs. Majin Duu?!" ID: 1-464-148-521 (PS5) Characters: Majin Kuu vs. Majin Duu Stage: Planet Namek Premise: Goku and friends have now arrived at the Second Demon World, which Goku mistakes for Planet Namek. But before they can continue their journey, Majin Kuu is greeted by his sibling Majin Duu! Duu is rather hangry and just wants some chocolate, but Kuu isn't much in the mood to entertain his childish younger brother. The two get into a scuffle while Goku and the rest of the group watch on in total bewilderment. Notes: By far the goofiest, dumbest custom battle episode I've ever made, yet one I thoroughly enjoyed making all the same. No regrets! If you're not feeling Duu's dumb antics, don't worry – it's a fairly short one.

Episode 07: "Tenacious Demon King" ID: 2-009-129-281 (PS5) Characters: Goku, Glorio, Panzy, Majin Kuu, Majin Duu vs. Hirudegarn Stage: First Demon World Premise: As Goku and the party finally arrive in the First Demon World, they're immediately confronted by none other than the Supreme Demon King himself: King Gomah! However, Glorio is quick to notice that Gomah is already in possession of the Evil Third Eye, a powerful artifact that gives its user strange and terrifying abilities. To show off his new powers, Gomah uses his Third Eye to summon an ancient, deadly beast known as Hirudegarn. Gomah doesn't feel the need to dirty his hands, and believes his new pet monster Hirudegarn is more than enough to crush the opposition. Can Goku and the crew manage to topple this foe?! Notes: This is the last episode where Goku fights alongside his Majin friends, so have fun with them while you can! Hirudegarn isn't too difficult, but very durable and will receive a mild attack boost after he loses approximately 20% health. Once he's whittled down to only 30% health remaining, he'll trigger his Sparking! state that will last for a while if he doesn't use his ultimate blast.

Episode 08: "Piccolo's Determination" ID: 3-427-963-463 (PS5) Characters: Piccolo vs. ??? Stage: Planet Namek Premise: While Goku faces off against Gomah in the First Demon World, Vegeta's group has just arrived in the Second Demon World. But far off in the distance, Dabura notices a mysterious Majin that appears to be a Namekian like Piccolo, even though the Second Demon World has long been abandoned by the Namek race. After attempting to confront the Namekian, much to everyone's shock and dismay, Dabura is instantly killed! Piccolo is overcome with a strange feeling and steps up to fight the Namekian by himself – will he be able to survive? Notes (spoilers below):
Spoiler:
These last three episodes are the final stretch that will serve as a true test of the player's skill. Katas fights very defensively, so strategies focused on breaking or circumventing those defenses are absolutely crucial to this fight. With 70% of Katas's health remaining, Piccolo will transform into Ultimate Piccolo and restore 30% of his health; and then at 50%, Orange Piccolo will be triggered and restore 30% health for himself again. Keep an eye on Katas's movements to make sure you're catching him off guard where appropriate.

Episode 09: "Defiance in the Face of Despair! Goku vs. Gomah" ID: 4-195-642-823 (PS5) Characters: UI Goku vs. Gomah Stage: First Demon World Premise: Goku, now in his Ultra Instinct form, continues his solo fight against King Gomah. Unfortunately for Goku, it appears they are evenly matched and so neither are making much headway. It is here that Gomah reveals an interesting detail about his past – long ago, he lived among mortals and is a former member of the Pride Troopers. When Jiren joined, it drove a jealousy-fueled wedge between Gomah and his fellow teammates, which caused him to return to the Demon Realm where he's been plotting vengeance against the Multiverse ever since! This petty motivation annoys Goku more than anything, who is now more resolved than ever to stop Gomah from achieving his goals. Notes (spoilers below):
Spoiler:
At 60% of Gomah's health remaining, an event will play, then Gomah will become completely invulnerable to Goku's attacks. If Goku is then brought down to 80% health remaining from here, an additional cutscene will trigger which will clue players in on what to do: SS3 Goku needs 4 skill points to use his "Power Up To The Very Limit" skill, which will trigger the next event and allow the fight to continue as normal. Finally, once Gomah has only 10% of his health remaining, Goku will automatically use his Ultimate Blast to finish the fight.

Episode 10 Finale: "The Power of One, the Power of All" ID: 1-670-176-718 (PS5) Characters: SS4 Goku, SSB Vegeta, SSFP Broly, Gohan Beast, Orange Piccolo vs. Gomah Stage: Hyperbolic Time Chamber Premise: Now at the zenith of his power, Gomah finds himself suddenly teleported to a strange realm alongside Goku and the others. Shortly thereafter, they're greeted by the Grand Priest, who reveals he sent everyone to the Room of Spirit and Time to finish their battle because the Demon Realm is in danger of being obliterated at their current level. Gomah, now free to go wild with his Evil Third Eye, launches his attack against Goku and his team. Goku declares that not a single one of them can afford to fall in this battle, as he'll need everyone's combined strength to stop Gomah. There's just one more hurdle to go, and the fate of all universes depends on this fight! Notes (spoilers below):
Spoiler:
Here we are, at the very end. This is a massive five-phase final boss fight that will not only test the player's skills to its limit but their endurance as well. As mentioned above, if even one character on the team gets knocked out it's an instant game over, so make sure you're regularly switching out and cycling through teammates so they can passively heal when needed. Remember to also use skills, blasts and ultimate blasts at opportune moments to make the fight a little more manageable. Phase 1 is essentially a supercharged version of the previous episode's SS4 Goku vs. Gomah phase. Third Eye Gomah is an aggressive fighter and additionally (as with all subsequent phases) has a ton of health and durability. The key to success is mainly just ensuring that no teammate gets too close to being KO'd without switching out, as the player will immediately lose if that happens. Phase 2 starts when Third Eye Gomah has 10% health remaining. Gomah's HP will be restored, then he'll transform into Giant Gomah. Because he's now a giant he's a little easier to hit than before, but unlike Third Eye Gomah, his strategy is focused more on long range blasts than close range attacks, so closing the gap is important here. Phase 3 starts when Giant Gomah is defeated. The fight is now against Janemba, who fights at slightly closer range and has more health than Giant Gomah but is otherwise an easy target due to his size. Could arguably be the easiest of the phases depending on one's fighting style. Phase 4 starts when Janemba has 10% health remaining. Janemba's HP will be restored and he'll then transform into Super Janemba. In this phase, the player will be locked out of Sparking! mode and ultimate blasts by proxy, so you'll need to press on with skills and blasts instead for an advantage. Super Janemba is EXTREMELY aggressive and will try to get close with hard hitting combos whenever possible, so keeping your distance when you can is an effective strategy here. This and the next phase are the most difficult of the phases. Phase 5 starts when Super Janemba has 20% health remaining. This is it, the last phase! Super Janemba is now completely invulnerable to all attacks, and the current team member will automatically switch to Gohan who will no longer have the option to switch out, so you'll have to be extra careful here. As the cutscene hints, the solution is fairly straightforward: Gohan needs to fire his Ultimate Blast and have it hit Janemba. It won't actually damage him, but if successful, he will automatically switch to Piccolo who then needs to do the same. Rinse and repeat this process until it's finally Goku's turn, then watch in satisfaction as his Transcendent Kamehameha deletes the rest of Janemba's HP and finishes him off for good. If you've gotten this far, congratulations – you've officially completed the Demon Realm Arc! Enjoy the final ending I had to haphazardly put together because of custom battle's limitations, lol.

Aaaaand that's all, folks. Honestly, I think I'm all custom battle'd out for a while. I might go back and refine/reupload older custom battles I've made as time allows, but otherwise, it's time for a little break. Excited to play some of the episodes you've all made that I might have missed here as well!
One more thing for now: I have, as mentioned above, reuploaded three of my favorite older custom battles with a few new adjustments. Had to sacrifice several likes/favorites to do that, but it's all good and IMO worth the refinements to satisfy my weird perfectionism if nothing else, lol.

^I have finished the second half of your Demon Realm arc.
As always, I put a Like and a Favorite to almost each of them due to the huge care in crafting a story with good cutscenes.
However, I only put a Like in n°9 and n°10 due to the length and difficulty getting in the way of my enjoyment, especially with the spamming AI that just can't let you go and counterattacks to get out of the AI's spam being down to sheer luck in this game when you're not a pro player.
I was on the brink of defeat in n°8, lost twice in n°9 before winning, and lost once in n°10 but would have given up if I lost a second time due to the huge length it takes to take down opponents, and losing in the true final battle would have been unbearable having to do it all again!
Didn't expect the revelation in n°8, that's audacious!
The translation in various countries could also get in the way of how to reach the transformation in episode n°9, I was lucky to have the idea to interpret the sentence as this gameplay possibility! It's really risky giving instructions necessary to succeed in the dialogue since they might be translated in a way that doesn't convey the message properly in other languages in the world!
It was extremely audacious to build a whole arc! (the game should include a sort of simplistic map that leads from one mission to the next if the user wants it, similar to the story mode even if it's just a straight line from one point to the other, although I understand it would prevent skipping to the next episode in case of failure). Congratulations for your dedication!
On another subject, my latest episode has bumped to 62 plays somehow since last time, it has clearly surpassed all other episodes I published! I didn't expect that, I thought most views happened in a very short time and then it didn't really grow from there! The other ones haven't really changed, maybe up by one or two plays sometimes, but this one bumped up a bit!
My goal with the last episode in particular was that I wanted to invoke the feeling of playing a demanding multi-phase final boss encounter, but I always worry about making difficult challenges like those feel unbalanced, or maybe more frustrating than satisfying to complete. It's a complicated fine line from a design standpoint for sure. Having just finished Hollow Knight: Silksong recently, I totally understand where you're coming from.
For my less straightforward battles, I do tend to look for ways to leave in gameplay hints about what needs to be done in the cutscenes. I agree that can potentially be tricky for players using other languages, especially given that some of the translation work isn't great, but I find it worth the effort nonetheless.
Hoping the content updates and characters planned for next year will revitalize this thread somewhat.
Hello, I did some story focused custom battles, that are basically a spin on Dragon Ball Daima, but if it happened after Super, except for Super Hero movie (wanted to use Gohan) that didn't happen.
I wanted to do some plot twists and using some characters in unexpected ways. It is done in format resembling TV episodes.
Hope that you'll enjoy them, third episode called Beast Transforms with huge twist, that was foreshadowed in very subtle way, is in the making.

Not bad at all for your first stab at these.
My feedback would be to dedicate a little more time to the character interactions in your cutscenes, especially if there are multiple fights per episode. Often, that just means adding more cutscenes. Also, I couldn't help but notice that Vegeta calls Goku "Goku" in the first episode instead of "Kakarot" lol.
Really liked your inclusion of Vegeta's finisher at the end of your second episode. Always satisfying to see little mini Geets ending his fights with the shoulder tap thing.

Thanks for the reply and great point about Kakarot, you're right!
Yeah, to be honest, if the filters and search were little more helping, I would spend more on interactions, as I feel to tell a more complex story this might not be enough. I spent like 6 hours on one custom on average, I even went back and did some updates for the first two and now being stuck with not much time on the third.
But I will probably abandon this story and might focus on just one custom battle, selfcontained, where I can try this approach you suggest.
Also, will now focus on playing some stuff shared here...
I am now stuck with work for 3 clients and finally popped in the Daima arc in Kakarot for the first time.
Reached the Kadan castle and am kinda surprised how they abridged certain parts.
