I agree with the idea that everything after Z is more of a DLC and extra content to enjoy but not necessary. GT was the only sequel while Super and Daima were technically part of Z since they're both (alternate universe?) midquels.
I wouldn't say there's really a holy trinity since newer fans are probably going to watch everything depending how much they enjoyed Z. I could rewatch DB and DBZ but only skipping to my favorite scenes in the other three series. Daima I could rewatch most of it since it was short and one arc while only a handful of episodes in GT and Super.

I only consider the original 1984-1995 manga to be valid, so I don't have a "holy trinity". Everything else is a side project to me.
