The funniest thing about that ImDB link to 'Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins' was the comment at the bottom of the page: '' If you like this movie, we also recommend ''Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone'' . ''
It made me laugh.
It made me laugh.

Man, I saw Dragonball: Magic Begins on the international channel one day. That shit was CRAZY, but so good. Not as good as live action sailor moon (actually the live action sailor moon is glorious for us moonies), but still pretty damn enjoyable.
Anyone ever see Future Cops? It's a HILARIOUS rip of Street Fighter. Hilarious.
Anyway, I've run across a few pages speculating on a live action cast for DBZ when I was searching for pics of Juuhachi cosplayers.

Some of the reccomendations for the cast are horrendous, most notably Jet Li as Vegeta, Tom Cruise as Goku, and Elijah Wood as #17. Jack Black as Yajirobe seems surprisingly fitting, and it's fairly amusing to see which popular black actor should play Piccolo! Leonardo DiCaprio as Trunks...I don't know how I feel about that one.
Us dopes in the #18 Yahoo club talk about it here and there, most recent considerations being Cameron Diaz, Meredith McCoy herself, and some other tall pretty blond chick I don't care for.
I'd really prefer that it just be a cast of unknowns rather than these big names. I want them to LOOK like they're fighters...annnd I dunno. I just don't want pretty boys and big boobs.

Please, no. How I hate him...number18 wrote:Leonardo DiCaprio as Trunks...I don't know how I feel about that one.
I like the 'Things I learned' section of the DB Let the magic Begin movie. It's in English, too? Heh, wow! I've definately got to check this out sometime
I doubt a DB movie can be made. Isn't it pointless to.....uh.....re-make something for a movie? Where's the originality in modifying Toriyama's story?
You mean like what TOEI did?
*snark*
Also, I am shocked that Dragon Ball fans are expressing their love for "Head Cha La". How much more controversial can you get? Next thing you know, someone will be saying stuff like "I quite like that scene where Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2". And then all hell will break lose.

Here, I'll start it off for you...PsyLiam wrote:Next thing you know, someone will be saying stuff like "I quite like that scene where Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2". And then all hell will break lose.
I particulary enjoyed that one moment in which Gohan was angered into breaking the Super Saiyan boundary and reaching the next level of Super Saiyan 2.
