About time somebody other than me mentioned this. It was pretty brutal when Piccolo broke his arms too. Not to mention Goku firing Angira's blast back into his mouth. I loved it.

Whether you like the dub or not, I love that scene in the dub. As soon as Goku catches that punch, Stupify by Disturbed starts up! I love that band and the song, so it was that much more powerful.

Really? You, prefer Disturbed over one of the best orchestrated pieces which utterly defines that it IS indeed ass-whoopin' time?

Haven't seen the Japanese version of that scene (movie came out month before I got a dvd player), but did like that scene when Stuipified started.

Hmm...there are a few blows that tend to stick out in my mind. So, I've tried to nail them down to the top three that stick out to me.

1) Got to agree with the majority mentioning Goku getting nailed in the groin in Movie 7. Ouch. The fact that it knocked him right back to normal state, out of Super Saiyan and pretty much unconscious adds to the "yow" factor.

2) Gohan plunging his arm straight through Bojack's gut in Movie 9. I think the sheer bloodiness of it, combined with Gohan's pretty much stoic face, and Bojack coughing up blood nail that one for me.

3)Tullece slamming Goku into the ground and proceeding to blast the crap out of his back and slam down on his face was pretty gruesome too. The point-blank range didn't help...

Seconding/Thirding the bit in movie three where Turles is bloing the hell out of Son's back. The guy is racrically going into spasms, damn.

I remember there's some pretty brutal stuff that's done to Pic, but I think I might just notice those more because.. he's Pic.

Other scenes..... Hmn. There's that bit in Dead Zone where Garlic grabs Pic and Son by their faces and jumps off a clift with them. Then procedes to connect faces to ground several hundred feet below. That one always makes me either wince or laugh. There are definately others but they're not coming to me right now.

I accidentally saw Disturbed once when they were opening for STP a few years ago, and I can tell you that they were the absolute worst musical experience of my entire life and I have never loathed a band more. Brittney Spears is tripe but at least she doesn't stand there flipping the audience off, playing one chord and screaming "fuck you" over and over again for the entirety of the lyrics.

Look at it like this, in the Japanese version the music was made specifically for that scene (it was the same theme that played when Goku laid the smack down on Freeza at the beginning of episode 98 ) as opposed to just throwing in a Rock song . I mean the song is tight but like Kunzait and Castor Troy said, it makes it seem like one big AMV. Shit, I'd even prefer Bruce Faulconer over that. At least his music fits with the scenes.

I've alwayts thought of that kick as more a blow to the gut- it's too high up to be a kick to the balls. You can sorta see the belt below where his foot is there.

Except...no one's joking about it. It really is a painful shot seeing as how it CAN happen IRL as opposed to many of the other blows in DBZ. Everyone's just agreeing with the fact that it's painful and probably one of the worst hits in the series.
