I live in Australia, my local comic book store is a small independent business, so with our economy sucking more ass than usual, he's knocked up all of his prices.

..I wanted to buy Cowa!, but not for $17 bucks.

On that note Captain Awesome, do you know if we are getting the Daizenshuu released over here?

And the manga box sets?

We've only recently gained a Manga distributor through Madman, though stores like borders just skip the middleman and import themselves, so if you're after Daizenshuu #1 you are probably going to have to go to your local comic book store or just order it online.

Yeah, last time I checked they didn't have any record of them being released any time soon.

I'll check again next week.

Did you order one online? If so, how much did that set you back?

I own the original Japanese Daizenshuu #1, so I wont be picking up the Viz version until it's cheap enough for me to do so.

I have however been picking up the Vizbig editions on a regular basis, Minotaur (a comic book/pop culture store) in Melbourne has them for $25 bucks a pop, which is pretty good especially since the original tankobon cost $14 each.

So yeah, I'm not really interested in the box sets (still edited, crappy paper quality) but I think your best bet with the box sets would be Amazon, they're going to cost you a bit of scratch with the way our economy is going, but you'll pay much less (especially with the pre-order price) than if they eventually got released here.

Thanks for that. :D

Also, it wouldn't surprise me if they had some of this stuff at Supanova 2009.
