I'm not as familiar with the endings, but oh my god, Dan Dan was amazing. I guess we know now why it kept getting delayed, eh?

Wow. Outside of the terrible quality, that sounds excellent! I wouldn't hold it over the original song, but the lyrics are extremely accurate, the harmony is solid, and it's not an utter abomination!

Extremely cool, and looking forward to a high quality upload. :D

They all sound great, but why did they alter the notes so much on Don't You See? It is still pretty good, but it is a bit better in Japanese.

I was just complaining about this to a friend. The melody in the chorus is by far my favorite part of the song, and the ever-so-slight change they made to it ruined the perfect harmony I fell in love with. Angst. :(

Still, it is pretty faithful for the most part.

Jesus Christ Funi gets some mad props from me. I just wonder why they didn't decide to do the same for DBZ's opening. It's like they want to give DB a good treatment and GT a good treatment but completely ignore Z as the bastard child.

Why not rip the song from the DVD instead of trying to record it from your TV? I would like to hear this in acceptable quality, as this does the song no justice.

Edit: Nevermind, I just read your post saying your DVD drive is broken.

I just got it as well, oddly enough at FYE. I wasn't even looking for it but there it was at $40. Picked it up right away.

Unfortunately I can confirm that there are NO alternate angles on the set, so you will see the American GT logo in the intro and the English episode text. However, you still see Simmons' translated episode titles in the subtitle track so it's not that bad a situation.

Oh, and the new dub intro and closings sound wonderful. I literally just got home and haven't even watched it outside of the new opening and closings, as well as seeing if there are alternate angles.

If anyone has any scene requests for ripping feel free to ask.

Could you rip the OP and ED songs? Thanks.

This is sort of irrelevant but can someone tell me how the script was for dub GT?I was just wondering if they had to redub it at all.

Did they change the first ending's singer from male to female or am I hearing this wrong? This is such a weird change.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the same person who sang Dan Dan sang Hitori Janai in the Japanese version,

Sounds like a high-pitched man to me.

So I just want to know if the next episode previews are there or not, and if there are alternate angles.

Funi is completely stupid if they left either one of these out. Depending on some comparison shots between this, the singles, and the DBox singles, this could be a perfect release for GT.

Disturbed, both were left out.

Good god, English versions of the GT opening and endings? (downloads) I haven't watched GT in a while, but from what I remember, they did a pretty good job with the translated lyrics. I'm just glad to hear the lines "don't you see" "love is asking to be loved" and "I am not alone" in the ending themes.

But as awesome as this news is, I dunno if it's awesome enough to get me to get a series that I only moderately enjoyed again. Besides, just the thought of having to sell all my GT singles seems like such a pain. Maybe if they had some kind of CD release? ... Please?

Uh, I'd assume we still do on the Japanese track.
