Maybe you two have completely different versions of the scripts. Ever thought of that? Or maybe YOUR script isn't up to date. You said '07. There's been plenty of time to add things and take things out of the script. Know what I mean?

I thought CN didn't have the rights to air either or anymore. (As much as I'd like to see DB and DBZ on TV again.)Arcwave wrote:Hm, interesting review.
Does anyone know if CN will be airing DB or DBZ before the film? I'm sure FOX is going to do everything to promote this film. And to show the anime series beforehand would seem very practical.

I used to run home from the bus to catch Dragon Ball on TV. Good times, good times.Chuquita wrote:I thought CN didn't have the rights to air either or anymore. (As much as I'd like to see DB and DBZ on TV again.)Arcwave wrote:Hm, interesting review.

My grandma would baby sit so she had to watch it too. She probably had no idea what the hell was going on.
In Australia it was on in the mornings at 8:00, every weekday. I usually had to leave before the episode ended, but I remember missing the bus during exciting episodes such as Goku turning SSJ3.Innagadadavida wrote:I used to run home from the bus to catch Dragon Ball on TV. Weekday Toonami came on right after school for me; I used to be so excited to see that block (and Midnight Run). I'd tape dbz every weekday. (I even have The Dead Zone taped; Friday Movie bumpers 'n all. :3 )

You know Cloud Strife (the guy that leaked the 20 second video's a few months ago not the 1st class soldier) said that the guy was legit so maybe it could be true.
I completely respect your opinion, and I respect you. I enjoyed discussing this with you, even if I don't completely agree.

*Goes to play editor*.
After reading through it again, it does sound a little press release-ish to me; but its written in such a simple style.
I sent it through Word, it came back with a 9.8 reading level. The average newspaper is written on a 10th grade reading level.
Also the use of the word "bum" seems to stand out a bit compared to the style of writing, as its not really the most obvious word to use. Then there's all these references to other movies: 300, Sin City, Star Wars, Spiderman, X-Men. And comparing Piccolo to Darth Maul? I have shoddy knowledge of Star Wars, but if anyone would want to make that comparison, wouldn't it be FOX, who worked on both?
If this is a "plant", spelling errors and such may be there on purpose to make it not appear too fake.
I dunno though; you can never really tell. It is the internet afterall.

That should be pretty telling.omegacwa wrote:This review sounded like a combination of what JAPPO has told us, and some other old review I read off IMDB I think.
I didn’t even bother reading this because just skimming it screams “fake” to me. Poorly written, very vague, no credibility, etc. etc. Just because JAPPO’s script is ’07 doesn’t mean it isn’t close to the final product. I think they’ve been done with this movie for a long time now and have been holding out on the release to touch things up (like digitally altering Piccolo’s skin to be green to appease the fans), and to release it strategically in April (although it’s kind of a dumb move going up against Hannah Montana, but I guess they’d fair better against that than Watchmen in March, which could be why they tried holding it up… or maybe it was Wolverine’s fault, I dunno).
