Ah! Sorry! My misunderstanding. That scene is in DBZ 171.ImmortalSandwich wrote:?... Uh I'm not talking about Frog Ginyu, I'm talking about the scene with Goku and Chi Chi and the stroller.HoustonRH7 wrote:Crap.... I can't think of it off the top of my head. I'm sure it was after he changed back out of Bulma's body, meaning it was either during the Freeza fight, or after everyone on Namek had been transported to Earth.ImmortalSandwich wrote:
Wow I don't remember that scene at all, do you know what episode that is?

Very good podcast. It's the first one I've listened to in probably a year or more(Sorry, I just don't have the time anymore). I thought of a few more "semi-relationships" you guys missed, all very minor.
Yamcha and Chi-Chi in the Search for the Dragonballs Saga. She thinks he's serious anyways.
Oolong and his "harem" that made him wait on them.
It's been a while since I saw the RRA Saga, and never in Japanese. Did Goku and Sno have any hint of romance? What about Colonel Violet and...someone? And definately Blue and the dude from Penguin Village.
Kurillin and Mint from the filler before the Piccolo Jr. arc.
Lemlia and the Arlian King, and also Lemlia and the Arlian prisoner.
Freeza and Zarbon, Freeza and Ginyu, Freeza and Vegita
Bulma had a mild crush on Zarbon as well.
Gohan had a bit of something going with Lime in the 10 days before the Cell Games.
Mr. Satan and his promoter. I don't see anything to that, but you see this a lot in fanfics. Some think she's Videl's mother!
Gohan and Angela was breifly mentioned. Angela went out with another boy right afterwards.
How about Sharpner and Erasa? Maybe not.
Pan and ther Date from the early part of GT. He ran off though.
Pan definately has a thing for Trunks. Weather it's reciprocal or not is the question.
While we're at it, Pan and Gill have a strange Robot-Human love thing about them.
Pan's got a lot of them. She and the human boy she did her first Kamehameha with...wait, wasn't he a dragon or something in disguise? It's been a while.
In fanfics, everyone always puts Goten with Marron or Bra...neither seem to have nay basis in reality though.
I've also seen Uub with Marron or Bra. At least he's closer to the right age for Bra, though not by much.
That's all I can think of. Any more obscure romance references?

I never bought into the whole Pan and Trunks one. It never felt to me like there was anything between them. At the very most I'd think she felt that Trunks was an annoying brother type. Besides, the age gap is huge. Wouldn't he have been like 17 when she was 4? Yikes. Just fanfics getting out of control if you ask me.
How about Kuririn and Upa? That one lasted about 10 seconds...

Well, when she's nineteen he'll be 33 but look in his mid-twenties...Bussani wrote:I never bought into the whole Pan and Trunks one. It never felt to me like there was anything between them. Hey, it's Toei.
I haven't gotten a chance to hear the new podcast yet (tomorrow on the way to work, probably), but I just wanted to say nice job on the new animation stills gallery. Fantastic work, guys!
...now if we could get the opening from Final Bout available for download, we'd be in business. Hint.
Keep up the great work, guys!

Whoa!! What's the deal here? Wasn't DBZ Vizbig supposed to come out today?! Amazon's listing (which was linked in the thread's episode notes) now has it at April 21st? Damn.
What's delaying these things? They've got the translations, all they have to do is touch up any mispellings and such, right? Though, if they are going back and un-editing the manga, hell I'll be happy as heck.
But does anyone know WHEN this got pushed back? It must have been between today and Saturday, right?
Gah...and I was so excited to pick it up this afternoon...

Hey, enlightening episode guys! Keep up the good work.
One thing I'd like to touch upon slightly is the History of Trunks theory you have going.
We all know about the old site DBZ Uncensored and its creator Chris Psaros. As I'm a newer fan of the series on a broader scale, I wasn't around when this site was first getting set up.
However, I do believe that it was popular around the time that FUNimation started dubbing their imfamous season 3.
I recall Mr Psaros having a list of Japanese episode titles for the entire DBZ series (I'm pretty sure...). As a throwaway remark I recall him saying about how he wouldn't mind one of his translations being put into one of the FUNimation DVD's. This episode was one of the first appearances of one of the sets of Cyborgs/Androids/Whatever your preference is. I don't exactly know what the original Japanese name of this episode translates as, or indeed what it is in Japanese, but I do remember a clip of a Japanese episode title card screenshot of one such DVD, with his translation in it.
This translation included the line "walking weapons of mass destruction".
This is of course all from memory, and as i've said, I'm not entirely sure of how his site affected fandom etc, but I think it shows that at least some of the FUNimation staff check the fan sites out, so who knows.
