I'm getting very excited now about this dub! Hey could Mr. Piccolo/Kino/Kaboom post on which parts still haven't been auditioned for/don't have many auditions so that others know what is still (relatively) up for grabs.

Dan, you are awesome as Goku in Timo's audition, I would be suprised if you didn't get that part!

Still 5 days left to audition, everyone! Now that my end-of-semester workload is completed (huzzah!), I'll be able to get more involved again, and I'll be recording my audition once I get a foam cover for my mic, and this bad cough clears up.

Okay, I think this will work. Here's a list of all the characters, and the "@'s" after each one indicate how many times the character has been auditioned for.

As you can see, the only character yet to be auditioned for is Bulma. Where are you, Chuquita? Also, several characters have only been auditioned for once, os if you think you can, give them a shot as well. We'd rather not have to assign roles to people merely by default from lack of auditions.

Alrighty, folks. A few things I want to address...

1) I've decided to extend the auditions for a day or two. Instead of Saturday, the last day will be Monday, mainly because there's a few characters yet to be auditioned for.

(That, and I'm sick and have a sore throat, which means I can't record for crap, so I wanna make sure I get my audition in, as well. Ah, the luxuries of being director...)

2) We need to decide once and for all about the music. I need to come out and say it: I'm against using the original Japanese BGM, other than the opening and closing. This isn't some professional dub job where we're going to make it or break it with our audience depending on our music choices. This is a project for our own enjoyment and entertainment; an opportunity for us to be creative and customize things as we like them. Just using the original Japanese BGM, when it's become obvious that we have the potential to do so much more, just seems lazy and boring.

3) We need to decide on a name for our production of the movie. Way it seems is that we have 3 major choices: Use the original Japanese title, try to adapt the original Japanese title to something more fitting, or go with 'Tree of Might.'

I'm so critiquing of myself with this thing I'm definately not putting the link on DA. ^_^;;;

Also, I had absolutely no idea what kind of emotion I was supposed to use for the last line so I kinda made something up.

There's some audio-hiss stuff going on because I think I recorded too close to my videocamera or I had the mic volume up too high.

This was pretty dang good IMO, Chuquita. You got a very nice tone reminiscent to the Japanese VA and not at all on a Tiffany Vollmer bitchy range or overly valley girlish. Very good job.

You really did a good job, Chuquita! *deletes his own female VA parts* ;p So these are future_trunks' auditions: Son Goku, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Yamcha, Haiya Dragon, Oozaru Gohan, Tullece, Amond, Rakasei, and Shenlong. Tuesday is my day off so I think I'll have enough time to host my auditions soon enough.

Timo, it wasn't really a good idea to introduce the voices you did as jokes or things that shouldn't be taken seriously because I almost brushed them aside. With that being said I was very impressed with the Tullece and I believe the accent actually helped craft that character. I liked the Goku but the voice seemed better while his was fighting than compared to when he was having a normal conversation, at least imo. Looking foward to more auditions.

Because Lars' English is..."noobish".

Even his German pronunciation is a little bit strange sometimes (but this is a thing why he is a perfect Goku).^^

Yaa...it was a little hard to transfer my German Kaio voice into English but I think it was okay.^^

I liked that Lars's Goku had a slight accent. :3 Ms. Nozawa's Goku has one. If I get some time tommorow I think I'll listen to how the several Gokus sound next to each other, just as a refresher as I've been bogged down with finals last week and this one. (Semester ends Friday! Then I'm free!)

Whew! Glad to know I did ok.

Don't hit me guys but this thread is 21 pages long so I'm a little confused. So I hope I do this right I'm not sure if we're going for original voices or dub impersonations or what so I'll just chuck some auditions out there based on instinct.
I've been amateur voice acting/ fan dubbing for 6+ years, so if you need any advice on scripting etc please ask

Thanks for showing your interest in this (always glad to have someone else pop up with assistance), but if you would, please post these in our auditions thread instead. It kind of helps your submissions avoid getting lost in the sea that is this main thread. We'll keep our comments about the auditions in this thread, though. ^^;

I really like your Gohan, and your Chichi, while the inflection near the end is a little odd, is really good too.

I need to go back and re-do my auditions as soon as possible, then... I fear I may not get a role now. D:
