The video description says that the release date is November 11.
I hate how they give us a link to their DBGT web site for more information when there is no information on this. Funi's Dragonball sites are always the last things to get updated, and they never get any information on releases...except for a year and a half after it was actually released.

I agree that you're setting your expectations too high. They're not even going to use the original film for this one, they're just going to use their digital copies so we won't see anything close to Dragonbox quality in this set...probably never.disturbed001 wrote:So if this box set ends up being 4:3 I really hope we will get some comparison images to the Dragon Box. I would be amazed if they got ahold oh Dragon Box material, but I think I'm setting my expectations too high lol.

You guys are forgetting that this is YouTube we are talking about... Of course the quality's gonna be shit!

I'm sure that Funi is aware of this forum and has trolled around it before, but since they changed that mistake a few hours after we started pointing it out I'm starting to think that they might be keeping a closer watch on us then I thought...especially with all of our talk about the Dragonball Z Abridged series that obviously don't like and are well aware of.Nils_McCloud wrote:Apparently they changed it.SSj_Rambo wrote:The video description says that the release date is November 11.
Shoddy, shoddy work, Funimation.
If Funimation is listening...
I want a quality release of the new DBZ special and the DBZ OVA, and a 4:3 release of DB 1-153 and DBZ 1-291 and some Dragonbox footage...and I want it now!!!

Even YouTube videos don't have be this crappy. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube that have pretty decent quality (I'd link to them but they're so easy to find, such search for a popular trailer or commercial with "HQ" in the search) and it wouldn't be that hard for a company as big as Funimation to figure out how to do it.Metalwario64 wrote:You guys are forgetting that this is YouTube we are talking about... We only have about 2,600 members here, but we're a pretty active community, and since VegettoEX has kept this forum to neat and organized and well kept it wouldn't be too hard for a company to skim through and see what our major topics are and our biggest issues with their products are. Whereas other forums (like MFG and other) are very unorganized, everyone types poorly, they have topics on everything, hardly anyone knows what they're talking about and would be very painful to have to look through if you're looking for what the general opinion and consensus is an a certain product.shotkeeper wrote:I don't think so. I know a friend. He said he mailed Funimation and they listened and changed it. And TFS was just getting too popular. Funimation could've easily spotted them. TFS had like 11 000 in 2-3 months. I don't think
there are even 5000 members here. So it couldn't be because of Daizex.
Also, VegettoEX has been in contact with a few people on Funimation's staff for quite a while now, so I'm sure that they've at least talked about him and his sites a few times, and probably visited them before as well.

True. Daizex is the most organised forum. The only I hate is the ' type correctly rule'. I understand if I StaRt TYping LIke this, but if someone just doesn't know English grammar very well, it's not his fault. I also love how almost everyone here knows what they are talking about and keep everything up to date to everything. I just don't like that the last days, don't know maybe it's just me, that the forums have been less active. Only a few people post anymore.
But this is the best Dragonball information site, together with Kanzentai (Herms <3 Haha).

Occasional typos are one thing, but it's a "put in the effort" kind of thing, really. I've actually noticed that it's the non-native English speakers who usually try harder.shotkeeper wrote:The only I hate is the ' type correctly rule'. 32 eps makes sense, splits the series in half, and is done on 5 discs on the previous widescreen sets (Season 1 had 35 eps on the first 5 discs). Makes sense Set 2 will be identical in disc and episode count. The Time Traveller wrote:The trailer says 32 episodes.shotkeeper wrote:I also heard 36 or 38 episodes, so I'm not sure about that and the disc count makes no sense to me. Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

It's not just you, I've noticed too. It's probably just a strange coincidence that a lot of members had a low posting week all at the same time. Hopefully it blows over, otherwise I'll go insane posting to myself all the time!shotkeeper wrote:I just don't like that the last days, don't know maybe it's just me, that the forums have been less active. I know, I also would love 32 episodes, like it was in the trailer, but didn't someone at Funimation say it was 36 or 38. Also why 5 discs, it would make the set so ugly.ect5150 wrote:32 eps makes sense, splits the series in half, and is done on 5 discs on the previous widescreen sets (Season 1 had 35 eps on the first 5 discs).
