Well if this film is successful there will obviously be another one. I don't see why either Toei or Toriyama would stop making them.
Becuase Toriyama is getting older? I really hope this film will be an introduction of the Dragon Ball Twelverse.

Regardless of his age, at least for the relative future, Toriyama doesn't seem to mind writing at all. He's mentioned that he likes coming up with the stories, he just doesn't want to go through the work of drawing them (especially on a weekly schedule). He doesn't need to procrastinate to avoid drawing an actual manga, and with interviews giving some insight into his writing process, he could probably churn out a script in a relatively short period of time. With Battle of Gods, he got so fired up that he rewrote the whole script without them asking him to, and even wrote so much that content had to be cut because of time constraints. It's not like he's spending a year or more writing a novel or something.

I will take this question to make another one. Do you guys think Toriyama should have come back sooner?
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Part of me would've liked that, if only to get to see works from all the now-retired artists and writers whose DB fan-works I used to follow; to get to discuss new plot-elements with friends who have long since vanished.

If the movies had started ages ago, all that would've been possible.

Hell yeah. Animation and visual quality of the films would have been better.

I really hope that Freeza really raises the stakes in this movie. Waste no time getting his revenge. Destroy the dragon balls both on Earth and new Namek right away. Take out a few of Goku's friends (or the children). Those kinds of things. Make it feel like there is an actual threat.

It'd be good if they did kill someone off, I'd hope that it wouldn't be as kid friendly as the last movie being that Frieza is back.

They did use the word 'zetsubou' to describe the situation. They've only really used 'despair' to refer to things like Future Trunks' world and such before, so I have to imagine they'll be some stakes.

I don't really care if anyone dies or not in this one, it'd certainly raise the stakes, but the stakes are raised regardless if Frieza is boosted to Goku's current level.

I do have a theory though.

Goku and Vegeta both being featured on the early picture kinda tells me (and I'm just speculating) that both will be involved in the kill/win. Anyone else think they may fuse?

I kind of like to think that if this and the last movie were really a continuation of the manga... the arc would have begun with Beerus seeming like the real threat first but then you find out that the true villain of this arc is a revived Freeza. Kind of like how at first it seems like Mecha Freeza is the threat, but then you learn it's Dr. Gero/Androids ... oh no, wait... it's Cell.

Nah, that's been there for a while.

How are you finding out about whether the site's been updated, Chiquita?

Using the firefox browser:
Press Alt
Go to tools
Click page info

The "modified" date listed is when that page was last saved/updated on Toei's end.

As of this post, the dragonball2015 site was last updated "Monday, December 01, 2014 3:08:07 AM".

If you use F5 to refresh you'll see the updates and all that has been updated are buttons in the footer that link to other official DBZ websites, they simply added one or two more. And mind you it will say "last updated" when the webmaster has just modified a line of code as well. And this new?

It's amusing going through these Japanese image boards for news when porn is constantly being linked instead of DBZ related material, even if it's a thread specifically for the upcoming movie.
