Heres the thing though, IF this Frieza stuff is real, Goku has no choice but to pick Frieza. The tournament is literally about to start, even if Cell could unlock Gold or Blue, they do not have the time to train him up from from android level to god level. If they did get him all they have is a guy about is maybe weaker then Buu now plus he cannot be trusted.

Frieza on the other hand is a ready made, god tier fighter who is guarantied to give most of the other universes fighters a run for their money. His Golden form was powerful enough to out match SSB Goku without even using its full power. Since Goku and Vegeta didn't get much stronger (base wise) while training for the U6 tournament and only Vegeta got any noticeable boost in the Black arc, Frieza is still the 3rd most powerful fighter they have unless Gohan really shapes up. Yes he cannot be trusted ether but he's almost just as much a threat to the other teams as Goku and Vegeta.

Why on earth would you even give Cell a second glance?

You could say same thing for freeza neither are worth it but cell seems far more reasonable than frieza.

As is already stated, frieza is god tier, cell, at best, is near ss2 tier. Tactics only get you so far, I would pick frieza over cell any day. As for why not both, its probably a last minute decision if it turns out to be true, no time to convince both.

and? Its not like every fighter there at the tournament is gonna be god tier level anyway and with a guy like freeza who more or less laugh at the thought of teamwork with either goku or vegeta.

Nakao's still in the currently airing arc of One Piece, but his character Caesar's not in that big of a role this arc. Nakao's around to be grabbed for other stuff.

I'd still wait for Herms though. Anybody can post text. The fact that there's no scans up for episode titles for One Piece or Boruto yet have me suspicious about these episode titles.

I forgot he was also Frost. That helps support possibility that Freeza's VA isn't that busy elsewhere so he'd be available to voice Freeza. That's what I meant; it wouldn't be hard to grab him. It's the lack of hard copy that keeps me from believing Freeza coming back is true.

Since he's part human and Saiyan and Frieza and Androidshouldn't he have Zenkais and untapped potential and a golden and SSB form. If he knows kaioken he should be able easily surpass Beerus.

There both as bad as each other, infact Cell can be worse as the guy has the worst of Frieza, Vegeta and Goku in him.

The tricks Cell brings are all older versions of what the main caste can do in a slightly stronger rapper. While he may help with the lower to mid tier he's not going to last very long against the likes of Hit, Toppo and Jiren. He's also not goint to be a team player anymore then Frieza would be.

When you have a bad guy on your team, you know he's going to try and f##k you over and your not going to get much team work out of him. With such a person you are really just gonna turn them loose and leting them cause as much trouble for the other guys as possible. Frieza is going to make more of a dent then Cell will in that situation based on power alone.

It's probably fake because a Freeza rumor is easy bait and believeable for people to think it's real. For example if they said Cell, a lot less people would think it's real and immediately call it fake.

Cell has Frieza beat in an all around anyday since he's part Frieza anyway, it's especially relevant if power levels don't matter anymore for the past few weeks.

I've come a long way. I would've been triggered by those fake leaks a 2 weeks ago. Now i just don't care at all. Even if it was real, the fallout would be amusing.

These are void question. If Cell trains 1 hour in the rosat and gets on boost, but it will not happen, because it's just stupid. Recycling an already explored character is just stupid, doing it 3 times, just to please the avid fandom, is pure dementia.

Well it would be good if Cell would work as a team, the problem is that for all this talk of skill guys like Toppo and Hit will steamroll any of the weaker caste if they dont have back up. Even #17 would likely not last long against them.

If Cell is just going to fight by himself well he's going to come up against teamwork and people much stronger then himself. He'll get creamed especially since this is a ring out tournament. Frieza on the other hand is powerful enough to at least throw a lot of the other fighters of before he gets taken down and can brawl with the stronger fighters for a while which keeps the heat of our weaker guys.

Basically the villain would be almost like a berserker character, they are going to be fighting on their own and of no help to the team. So when you pick one, you pick the one who's going to last the longest and cause the most damage. As it stands thats Frieza.

I'd normally wait until something is confirmed, but if this leak turns out to be true -- and Freeza is brought in as a member of the U7 team -- that will greatly sour my view of this upcoming arc. I'd rather it just stay the same if this is how it's going to be.

Why? Because I've been strongly petitioning (not literally) that if this series was going to bring a former antagonist back for the ToP, the best choice would be Perfect Cell. This guy would utterly wreck Freeza in every way, he's somewhat redeemable, and is a potentially more interesting character given this dynamic, imo. Beerus learning of Perfect Cell is something that I'd like to see.

I don't care that Freeza is the franchise iconic villain, or that it will boost more toy sales by keeping him coming back again and again. It would just be for gags anyway. TOEI needs to recognize the things that they have available to pull from here, and Freeza's been overexposed already as well.

The only things keeping Cell from being written back in are his more detailed character design -- that doesn't lend itself well to this production -- and that his fighting ability has no ceiling.

Because of the movie and the retailing he already served his role in the story no need ro bring him ack for motr pointless fanservice.
Especially taking away a potential cast member chance to shine. The fucker had a movie and a shitty retailing dedicated to him already the fucker is more milked than broly.

This is the only reason needed as to why Frieza should not be included in the team.
