I didn't mind the movie at all; It was a little strange with Goku riding a cycle to school... Nimbus would have been pretty cool to see on the big screen. I also found Roshi living so close to the city a little out of place... He is the 'Great Turtle Hermit!' I guess from his prospective he is in more eye-shot of girls and strip joints... But there was no Kami house...
Other than that... I actually enjoyed the movie, and I certainly foresee a space appearing for it on my dvd shelf. :)

I don't think this deserve it's own thread so I thought I post it here. This has got to be THE most nerdiest Dragonball related thing ever. French Anime Fans Hold Funeral for Son Goku

Hey I didn't think the movie was great but my god! If I threw a funeral for every fictional character Hollywood slaughtered I be too depressed to get out bed. Oh and yes there is video. It's both amusing and cringe worthy.

What some of you aren't realizing is that this group of "retarded, pointless, immature, repulsive" fans probably had more fun at the theater than anyone here who actually liked the movie.

Yo. ;)

I could laugh at it, but I still liked it and had a blast.

And yeah, I get what they're doing, but I still think the "funeral" thing is a bit overblown and stupid.

Aww, come on man. You were the one complaining about feeling offended and not wanting to be insulted for your opinion, yet that comment doesn't show much tolerance for other opinions either.

Seriously, it was a joke. I admitted that it was funny. I wish now that I had worded it differently to avoid the shit-storm.

See this is the nonsense that gives anime/manga fans a bad name; it is stuff such as this that make me hesitant to admit that I like manga and anime. People tend to think that all people that like manga and anime behave as those idiot French Otaku.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

On Topic: I liked Evolution, and I thought the funeral video was funny. Both sides of fandom (Evolution fans and haters) need to lighten up a bit.
