I see Freeza getting a lot of hate. I for one, am hyped as hell to see him fight along side the cast, I can't wait to see him interact with the Z-fighters, Frost, U6's Saiyans and even Hit. Also, his personality brings a new dynamic that none of the main cast have; his cockiness, cruelty and hatred. Unlike the rest of the cast he will undoubtedly be enjoying his killing spree and love spreading pain while he tortures the other fighters. Then there's the fact that it adds more tension to the story by having the Z-fighters needing to constantly keep an eye on him, he can easily backstab or just go crazy and attempt self destructs at any point during the tournament.

The only thing I have a problem with is the marketing, they really should've kept this episode title under wraps, it would've caused the fanbase to explode had it came out of no where, but oh well.

Frieza's return was undoubtedly decided at the last moment (up to a few weeks ago), AFTER setting the tournament, the 10 participants, having posted a trailer, the poster that show all of them, and countless other articles about the tournament that showed Boo as the tenth fighter. Boo was a much more interesting character fo the tournament , with a more varied power of mind and solidarity with the protagonists. Freeza is demanded only by the irreducible fans

Nope. Episode's scripts and breakdown are done months and weeks ahead of time because it take weeks to animate. They just can't thrown in stuff at the last minute, especially a new character. Because they literally have to animate several new episodes to explain why the change happen and Super is already on a tight deadline.

And so what about the posters? Buu was in the poster for U6 and he never fought there either.

Right, the main gripe with those two was "teamwork" from what I understand. Frieza is my least favorite villian, I wanted Cell. At least it would give us something new to look at.

How did everyone feel when Goku tried to spare Freeza again, in Resurrection 'F'? More in the saga since Freeza actually killed Piccolo.

Evil or not, Buu killed billions of people and Vegeta gave his life to stop him and do you think Vegeta cares about such details?

Telling them the stakes aren't going to suddenly give them tournament experience. Buu was killing people, and Goten and Trunks still managed to screw around, even when Buu murdered their mothers.

And Yamcha is forever a meme.

Yamcha doesnt need redeeming, his main trait and shtick is being the joke guy, I dont see how thats a bad thing, jokes are important they build the atmosphere and helps the stiff situation from time to time. His meme's is his main selling point.
