I was only counting the official costumes you can obtain within the game itself for now. Not all people have access to DLC, especially if they aren't preordering, like me. =P (I'll get my game at midnight while I'm grocery shopping at Wal-mart.)
lol I can see that now. I need some bread and oh yea that new raging blast game! I just was watching Kai, yes the hated Kai, and I realized. Though some bad guys don't have alt outfits battle damage can be their alts like Goku and Bardock have, 17 could have his battle damage from the Trunks special for example and of course first form Frieza has his no armor first form as a possible alt choice. Piccolo has also had a lot of battle damage outfits you can choose from to put in the game,

Nah, I typically get paid on the first and third Tuesday of every month, The money is usually deposited by midnight on Monday, so I go shopping then to avoid the crowds. Plus I normally go to sleep at 7 am and wake up around 2 pm, so it works out really nice this time around. I'm not going there at midnight to get the game, but I'll be there anyway, so I might as well ask the staff for it if it isn't on the shelf and just pick it up then. Otherwise, I'd just have to make a special trip on Wednesday after I wake up.

Freeza has needed the armorless version for many games now, while 17 just needs one of his jackets from the Buu saga (and GT if included for RB3).

Sounds like a sound set up. Myself I will just sit at home waiting for my copy to come in a brown box or a bag or something. That's my plan since I pre-ordered it online. Hopefully if not this game Bandai will see this board and notice how much people want an armorless first form Frieza. I know 17 really just needs either one or both his jackets, considering this doesn't have GT I would be happy with just the Buu saga one but I am saying a lot of characters had battle damage in the series they should use that. Also I would like for kid Trunks to get back his shorts and tank top he had in the budakai games along with Goten with his special alt.

I've always thought that even though alternate costumes were not an essential part of fighting games, they were always a cool extra for fans. Especially in the DBZ games which are full of fan service, it seems like this would be somewhere higher on the priority list.

DOA, Tekken, Street Fighter, and many otherfighting games actually put quite a bit of hard work on their alternate costumes. There is some people who don't really care but a majority of people want more outfits to fight in and in the DBZ universe with all the people have worn in the series it seems like it should be an obvious want but stages are in that same boat and look how we do on those so far in the RB series.

Oh lawdy. Wow, General Frings(don't ask me who he is) and now this one. Glad I stayed out of this fight, I have a notorious bad temper.>.>

On a side note. Its gonna be hard getting this game with the 4 others I want being just released.

Well, other than Street Fighter just recently, none of these really fit the bill I'm looking at. Fan service stuff, you know, callbacks to previous games, characters, and obscure outfits. I don't think even in DoA4 can you play as brunette Tina from DoA1, nor (to my knowledge - I didn't spend a lot of time with it because the game bothered me) Tekken 6 has previous styles of Yoshimitsu from games prior.

But yeah. Point is, it's actually a lot of anime/comic games that get boned in this regard. MvC3 might be getting it right in some regard (at least Spider-Man's make me happy), but like, MKvsDCU had so much potential in alternate costumes and they ended up with palette swaps. It's the same thing when I'm playing a DBZ game, or for a more recent example, whilst playing a Naruto game, I wondered why I couldn't play as the game's protagonist with his goggles look, or the kabuki facepaint from issue 1.

Man, I just played the demo for this. Wow. This is why I don't play DragonBall games anymore. How do you people play these games?!

I haven't played a DragonBall game since Budokai Tenkaichi 2. When I started playing this, I had no idea you had to control it with the analog stick! I remember in Budokai 3 (the last Playstation Dragon Ball game I played) you had to use the D- pad so I was using that for the whole first round. Then when I realized how to move, I still couldn't get the hang of it. I was getting my ass kicked with no time for me to even try buttons out! It was a mess.

When I was playing this I was talking to Dbraz and he seemed to have the same problems, but I guess he got over them cause he was then telling me how to control it.

This is the reason I had totally given up on DragonBall games. I originally was gonna buy this just for the Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans feature, but now, I don't know. Seeing as it's a game I probably won't re-visit, do I really wanna spend $60.00 bucks on a stupid feature? I mean we live in a world where everything ends on the Internet... I might just have to go down that path.

Sounds like you won't buy it because you suck at the controls. To each his own I guess.

Haven't tried the RB2 demo yet, but if the controls are anything like RB1, those were shit.

This is evil, the UK will get the same thing a few weeks after release and then I'll end up with 2 copies :(
Next to get; Leged of Saiyan figures and Freeza's force

If anyone sees
Any of the Legend of Saiyan line going cheapish
Or any other Banpresto DBZ figure :)

If anyone has a cooler steelbook dvd that wants to sell it (prefer new but used is fine) when/if the dragon box movies comes out contact me :)

Yup, sounds like. But honestly yea, I guess you're right in a way. Not that I suck at the controls. But, I don't have the patience or the attention span for this game to learn them.

I know there is another thread dedicated to this question, but where can I get the collectors edition of RB2? I've seen it on Amazon.fr etc. for like 60 Euros. I really don't want to pay that much. It's the same on ebay, 60 Euros, from Countries like Germany etc.

Plus if they include costumes the player has the option to use it or not and go for the default.

I'm sure creating costumes is not that time consuming.

How can you have a tier list if the game hasn't even come out yet? Also, tiers are for queers.
