He taught him the Hakai, not the form.

So you mean when Beerus said "you can steal/learn some of my tricks" or something, he just meant the Hakai technique everyone's familiar with?
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
It's possible the hakai is a gateway into that form. But my instincts are telling me this is a Vegeta exclusive thing, since Vegeta named it.mute_proxy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 7:29 pmSo you mean when Beerus said "you can steal/learn some of my tricks" or something, he just meant the Hakai technique everyone's familiar with?
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
It’s probably because his Saiyan body adapts to use the technique at its best, as Goku does with the perfect ultra instinct.Peach wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 7:40 pmIt's possible the hakai is a gateway into that form. Just want to make it clear that Goku or Vegeta using UI or UE transformations don’t mean it’s exclusive to them.

He ended up teaching Vegeta about the whole mindset where Gods of Destruction draws power from, so I think Hakai was just the personification of this, like it was said above the "gateway".mute_proxy wrote: ↑Thu Mar 03, 2022 7:29 pm So you mean when Beerus said "you can steal/learn some of my tricks" or something, he just meant the Hakai technique everyone's familiar with?
But Vegeta mentions that the transformation itself is the result of his innate power being awakened against Granolah (for the first time also, so Beerus never saw it). The transformation is exclusive to him just like Ultra Instinct is to Goku, since as far as we know Angels and GoDs don't need to use transformations in order to properly manifest these powers
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I just wonder: How did Granolah obtain Oatmeel? He didn't have it since childhood and then after the Saiyan Invasion he was only left with the Namekian. So where did it even appear from? Why did it decide to support Granolah?
Feels like it may be a hint of the next arc, with some advanced technology planet.

In the official colored version, the color change is white, the same as angel hair, not silver as Goku's, so it could be not UI related but angel related since he took it from Merus. Not to mention he keeps his red eyes.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
True but sometimes when Toyotaro draws and colors drawings himself it is never always the same as whoever is coloring the manga. Not counting when he ate 73 Moro 73 never changes his appearance when copying everyone else’s power. By the time he uses Merus power it’s the perfected UI he’s using hence his appearance.mute_proxy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 04, 2022 6:05 amIn the official colored version, the color change is white, the same as angel hair, not silver as Goku's, so it could be not UI related but angel related since he took it from Merus. Re: Above: Moro’s hair change is 100 percent supposed to be due to UI, which the colorized version fumbles. As others have pointed out, his appearance never changes when copying abilities from other characters—the only implication to draw is that in this case the technique itself (UI) causes the change.
Re: UE: I agree that it’s (currently) a form unique to Vegeta, and his Saiyan body adapting to the principles of what he was learning from Beerus.

Don’t all hakaishin have UE? Would they be like Tenshi by always being in the state of UE? Maybe they don’t really need to transform kinda like Ultimate Gohan?
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Well looking at their battle royale fight before ToP, none of the Hakaishin got any stronger when they were beat up.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Their battle royale though escalated to a point that Goku couldn’t keep up anymore, so it’s possible they became too strong for Goku and the audience to understand what was going on. And we only got to see it in detail when most gods were nearing their limits, probably because they took too much damage, which is the technique’s most glaring weakness.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Do we know how much the manga sold in 2021? I remember it ranked #38 in the 2020 chart and sold around 1.1 million copies. It doesn't matter too much and just curious where it ranked last year. I was only able to find this which shows it might be less than last year based on average volume sales going down.

The UI and UE transformations are starting to make me feel like the saiyans were bio engineered by someone and not a natural occurring species.

What can I say it might as well have been another SSJ transformationmiguelnuva1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 7:56 pm The UI and UE transformations are starting to make me feel like the saiyans were bio engineered by someone and not a natural occurring species.

That will be an interesting premise for an epic that finally move the character arcs a bit onward.miguelnuva1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 10, 2022 7:56 pm The UI and UE transformations are starting to make me feel like the saiyans were bio engineered by someone and not a natural occurring species.
I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Beerus taught him the power. Vegeta himself said this. He just didn't learn how to properly transform until he fought Granolah
