Seems Spike has made characters specialised in certain areas, be it speed, attack, defence and Super. SS Vegetto and Meta Coola are the only characters with the highest grade for all of them.

I haven't really looked into it for this particular game, but the concept of a "tier system" in a game (usually expanded upon and debated by the respective game's fan community post-launch) relates to which characters have benefits in overall gameplay versus other opponents. In a nutshell, in the hands of an expert player, who is mostly guaranteed to win in a fight of "X" versus "Y"...?

Tiers tend to change over time as fans discover quirks in the way the game system works, unbalanced aspects not discovered in pre-launch testing, etc.

Those are the only two characters "S"-ranked in all four categories in the image quoted. Everyone else ranges in their letter grades below that ("A"-rank downward).

I'm going to chalk it all up to the regenerative abilities of Meta Coola and the fact he can just come back again and again. I mean perhaps Meta Coola is technically invincible seeing as no matter how many you destroy, you need to get the real Coola to destroy them all for good.

That is what I was thinking, as long as the real Cooler stays hidden, he would be safe.....but arent there plenty of characters that wouldn't be that affected by his attacks?

'm sure any SS2 could just wipe out waves of them. Invincible perhaps...but weak, YES.

Maybe, but if you remember in Sparking! Meteor, Mecha Coola was one of the only characters that you could pick multiple of, you could have a team of 5 of him if you wanted. That right there helped to make him "invincible", so the major stat buff still seems out of place to me.

BTW, Nostal told me he received the game yesterday, and if I had any questions about it to ask him. But since I kinda want to keep some of the game a secret for myself, like potential costumes or moves, I won't be taking him up on the offer.

I trust him enough to believe he actually has the game.
After all, he's the same guy that gave us the videos from the 95% complete version of the game at the Namco Bandai event a while back, which he didn't have to do. He's also gave me the original black and white body shot of Ozotto as well as an unused Bojack movie character sheet, both of which look real (but I have no way of confirming). But after seeing the way he draws DBZ characters without a reference, I know he didn't draw them himself. xD

I can reconcile with why Gogeta isn't in the same tier as Vegetto, given that the Potara fusion is stated to be somewhat superior to the Metamorese variety.

I'm a bit bugged out about Metal Coola, though. O_o
