Ok, it's time for another update!
This week I received both of the GT Perfect Files and the GT TV Special Anime comic book straight from Japan.
Both of the Perfect files are first edition, and also come with all the stickers and all (now I have two volumes of the first perfect file...gotta get rid of it! Anyone?
).
Enjoy!

The stickers:

And the GT TV Special Poster that comes with the book (just beautiful):

Sorry if some pictures are kinda blurry.

ORA SONGOKOU DA!
Y-you got the "remenber Z" DBGT perfect files? You lucky asshole! I'm stuck with these crappy "remember Z" DBGT perfect files. Then again, I got both of them for 10 bucks, so I shouldn't complain.
As for the GT Special ani-manga whatever you call it, it looks really cool. The poster looks really nice. I have the Movie 12 one, and it's really nice to have in your hands.

The original release of the Perfect File books had a section called "Remenber Z". The reprints had the spelling error fixed to "Remember Z".Son_GokouSSJ4 wrote:Please explain this to me! All right guys, you wanna see a REAL MAN's collection? I was chatting with an MSN friend, and he showed me someone's collection (Genki). Please remember, this is not my collection. Please be warned, your jaw may drop from the awesomeness of this collection. I don't know about you, but I find it fun as hell to just stare at other people's amazing collections. They start appearing in my dreams.
I don't know the names of all this stuff, in fact, I haven't heard of most of it, so hopefully some of you guys could help me out here. Also, I apologize for the amount of images in this post. If anyone wants me to change them to links, I'll do it right away!

Some art books. I've seen them before, but I don't know exactly what they contain.

Movie 12 and 13 art books. Not sure what the bottom two have.

The four recently released books.

Again, I've seen this book, just not sure exactly what's in it.

You guessed it...

Yup.

All right, this I've NEVER seen before. It looks like a book that covers Nozawa's seiyuu work. Awesome.

Not sure what these are. He told me they were pamphlets based on the movies.

The movie manga's and GT Perfect Files.

A bunch of V-Jump guides and Cardass guides.

More V-Jump guides, including the Playdia game. Amazing.

A couple of Tankobans...

Dojinshi's.

He even bought the Prima guides! That's HARDCORE.

I think that is a binder that holds all of his Shitajiki's. Holy shit.

CD Singles. I'm pretty sure that those are rare.

Hit Song Collections! And these aren't the re-releases. He took these pictures years ago.

More HSC with a bunch of rare video game soundtracks.

CD Sets. He has the Daizenshuu set. 'Nuff said.

No clue. All I know is that it has to do with CD's.

More video game soundtracks.

How did he get the Makafushigi Adventure CD Single? Your guess is as good as mine.

This is the entire collection of DB movies that were released on VHS in Japan. At the bottom there is the Playdia footage, the Terebikko footage, and a Super Butoden 1 and 2 video. Weird.

Laserdiscs!

Japanese telephone cards.

Really awesome laser cubes. I'll kill for one of these.
Now we get into the crazy stuff:

This is the storyboard for the Budokai 2 intro. There is no emoticon to express what I am feeling!

The storyboard for DBGT Episode 32.

Not sure what this is.

I actually got this picture before and posted it. In Japan, a box set was released that included Budokai 1-3. On it, is SSJ4 Goku is orange pants. Holy shit. And what are those things at the bottom?

Old school DB games.

The super casette vision game and the Jump anniversary games. Now that's rare.

Z 2V and the Playdia games.

The American released games.

The Datach system for NES, Budokai 1 for Gamecube and Buu Yuu Ressen(sp?) for Genesis.

All the portable DB games. Can I just say that the Japanese box art for super legendary warriors is pwnage?

The PS/Saturn/PC games. No idea what the last four are. Perhaps demo discs?

The NES games!

Playdia, with it's box.

Jump Super Stars and the postcard book.

HOLY.SHIT. Arcade boards. O.O

I really have no clue what these are.
He has so much more. If people want me to, I'll post the rest. But this is enough to drool at. Again, if anyone wants me to turn these into links rather than pictures, I will.
As for my collection...I'm expecting the last two Kanzenbans in the mail any day now.

French, you say? As in, he lives in France? Fascinating! I'd like to... "meet"... this French dude with all the uber-rare DragonBall merchandise which I probably would but wouldn't tell anyone about killing someone for.
...So... what's this dude's address, again?

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

While that truly is remarkable stuff, did you really have to post all those images? Isn't there a website of his that we can go to?
A few comments:
1. The "Playdia footage" VHS tapes are OVAs...I've mentioned this in another thread that popped up recently, and I'd rather not launch into a debate about it, but the information on the frontpage seems to dance around the fact that it isn't wholly correct. The 1994 Playdia games were based on existing 1993 footage. 'Nuff said.
2. As far as I can tell, yes, those last four games are demo discs. I can't confirm the other three, but I've seen the red DBZ3 disc in auctions and at a higher resolution you can see that it says "not for resale," or something similar.
I can't even begin to imagine how much money must have gone into this guy's collection...

Glad you guys like them. I was overly exited when I first saw them too. I'll post some more, but again, I don't want to go picture crazy. It'll slow down the page too much.

I'd certainly like these in my room!

Not exactly sure what you call this, but it's for Super Butoden.

As if you didn't see that coming...

Awesome.

A Kamehameha bracelet!

The 1992 Super Battle Collection toys.

That's Genki's collection allright, I remember talking to him years ago on the DB Toys Board.
He had his own site and everything back then.
He does still sell some stuff on eBay every now and then.
If only I could post more pics of my collection, Genki has a lot of things I don't have, but I got a lot that he doesn't.
I mean, just look at my Cels!
