Hm, the voices for Bulma and Chichi fit decently well, but the delivery needs to be worked on a little. Puar's actually pretty good, and although this might sound weird, I think keeping your accent for him would work. If I'm not mistaken Cathy Wesluck's version of him had a LITTLE bit of an accent; if not english then at least very refined with no slurring or anything. Gohan is definitely the best of the four clips. Very similiar voice (I felt Stephanie Nadolny's type of speech for him in there XD;) and the delivery on his lines were better than the straight-out female characters. Work on those a little more and I'd say you got my vote for Gohan.

...hope those've you who're auditioning aren't taking any offense to me giving out constructive criticism ^^;;;

Also, I have a few friends that've done some voice acting for my flash movies that I'm sure would be interested in trying out. I'll send out a few e-mails and see if I can nab a few of them.

Hmm... in that case, can I ask you for some crit on how I did? I could use a few more suggestions before I re-do them... ^^;

And, if any of your friends decide they want to participate in the voice-acting for this dub, please be sure to let me know what their email addresses are! I'm the one responsible for sending out updates, I mean... :oops:
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Just listened to it (the one on the front page of the auditions thread).

Your voice is too adorable for words XD; Despite what you were beating yourself up about a little bit, I think Chichi was one of the best among the list of ones you tried for. It was definitely the most distinct of all of them and had the best delivery among the others. Chaozu came to a close second, and I think if you put some more effort into his emotions I'd say you'd be good for both him and Chichi.

Oh and to everyone else that might be taking my criticism to heart, remember that I'm not the casting director. So if I say I think someone is the best for the character, don't necassarily think it'll happen. I'm not psychic XD;

:!: Yeah, the "You're hired/You're this until Kaboom says so" posts have gotten tired. An audition thread with only auditions would be cool too...

I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

Anyone who can do a decent imitation of Meatwad from ATHF has Sonny Straight's "Giru" (>.<) down. :P

Ah, but if Giru is Meatwad, who would be Master Shake? XD

I'm betting this thread'll really pick up after the semester's over.

Okay, I got someone from the VAA who I think would be really good for Bulma. She said she'd try to audition and post here in the near future.

VAA? What's that? Those intitials sound super-professional. TT_TT Like ADV or VIZ.

Well, in that case.... *looks over at Chi-Chi's lines and wonders if she'll have free alone-time between now and Friday to record them*. I guess I should try a backup as I feel kinda doomed right now. XD

It's called "The Voice Acting Alliance". It's basically a giant forum made just for people who wanna become proffesionals someday, and it's an easy place to try out for fanmade radio-plays and fandubs and the like. It's nothing OFFICIAL like Viz or ADV, but it's not a bad place at all for things like this.

If anyone from VAA becomes a famous voice actor, we can say that they began their dubbing career by doing the R29 version of movie 3! Then the fans will be trying to track it down, and we'll be legendary! :shock:

There're certainly a few that go there I could easily see becoming reals VAs though. Lucien Dodge for instance :3

Anyone know if Egoraptor is a part of the VAA? He's another Voice Actor that NEEDS to go pro, it'd be a waste of good talent for him not to.

I speak to him actually. I HIGHLY doubt he's gonna be interested in this 9_9; These days he's a lot more selective in what he gets involved with. Plus, even if he WERE involved, he'd play everyone, and then everyone else trying out would be totally de-railed.
